Panthers on mat at state duals

The Starr’s Mill Panthers varsity wrestling team, pictured above, competed at the AAAAA state duals Jan. 15-16 after winning the region dual championship.
The team defeated South Paulding, lost to eventual champion Camden County, defeated LaGrange and lost to eventual third-place finisher Cass.
The only other local team to participate at state was East Coweta, who lost to Lee County, defeated Walton and lost to Collins Hill.
