Piedmont Fayette welcomes first baby of 2015

The first baby born in Fayette County in 2015 arrived before his due date at 2:07 a.m. on New Year’s Day at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. Baby Dolan Williamson’s parents, Montana Williamson and Tiffany Kleinkauf, then learned their bundle of joy would receive an added bonus – $500 deposited into a Sandy Savers account at Delta Community Credit Union.

“This is a tremendous gift for our first parents of 2015 and we are thankful to Delta Community Credit Union for providing such a wonderful jump start for this baby’s financial future,” said Tracie Delally, director of Women’s Services at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

Delta Community Credit Union partnered with each of Piedmont’s five metro Atlanta hospitals for its second annual New Year Baby giveaway.

“It’s our privilege to partner with Piedmont for a second year and to extend a financial head-start to the children awarded these savings accounts,” said Matthew Shepherd, Delta Community’s COO. “Piedmont is well known for providing quality healthcare in an environment that puts patients first. We are excited to welcome these babies into the world with a gift that will assist with their financial futures.”

The family was also presented with a gift basket from the Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary; a certificate for a year’s supply of Chick-fil-A, compliments of Doug Mickey, Chick-fil-A Dwarf House in Fayetteville and a fruit assortment from Edible Arrangements.

More than 2500 babies were born at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in 2014. To learn more about Piedmont’s maternity services, visit piedmont.org/medical-care/womens-maternity-services.aspx.
