Rebekah Yates Anders, M.D., 90, of Peachtree City

Rebekah Yates Anders, M.D., 90, of Peachtree City, and lately of Columbus, Ga., died July 22, 2015.

She was born in Macon, Ga. on September 4, 1924 to Gladys Davidson Yates and James Emory Yates, Jr., both Macon natives. She attended the Clisby School, Alexander IV Elementary School, Miller High School, and was a member of Vineville Baptist Church. She spent many fond summers at Girl Scout Camp Martha Johnson near Macon, Ga. and Camp Civitania in Austell, Ga. In 1940 she won first place in a statewide Latin contest sponsored by the Georgia Classical Society.

Kathryn Jane Lindlief, 62, of Sharpsburg

April 8, 1953 – June 22, 2015

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

Kathryn Jane Lindlief, 62, of Sharpsburg, Ga., graduated from this existence on June 22, 2015. God has taken her gently by the hand to lead her on along the road of life that never ends. She is at peace now, and out of pain.

Born Kathryn Jane Davis, Kathy lived in various US cities and abroad as a child, as the family followed her father’s assignments with the United States Army. Her family ultimately settled in Columbus, Ga., upon her father’s assignment to Fort Benning. Kathy was a graduate of Baker High School in Columbus, where she was voted “Miss BHS” and “Most Beautiful.”
