Waunitta Singleton Jones, age 89, of Fayetteville

Mrs. Waunitta Singleton Jones, age 89, of Fayetteville, Ga., passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at Doctor's Hospice in Fayetteville.

Mrs. Jones was born on May 27, 1923 in Gwinnett County, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Owen Singleton and Maggie Jackson Singleton. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she severed as church pianist 63 years until her health declined, she also was a former Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school director. Michael Pollard of Tyrone

Mr. Michael (Mike) Pollard of Tyrone passed away Oct. 16, 2012.

He is survived by his parents, Walter and Jean Pollard of Tyrone; brother, Doug Pollard of Atlanta and many cousins and other family members.

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Beard officiating.

Interment followed at Sharon Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Geneva Green Cook of College Park passed away October 15, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cook and her first husband, Edward R. Ponatoski, Sr.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her daughters, Linda Smith and her husband Richard of Tyrone; Karen Vogtner and her husband John of Peachtree City; son, Edward R. Donald James "Don" Easterbrook, 57, of Fayetteville, passed away October 13, 2012.

Mr. Easterbrook was the City Engineer for more than twenty years for the City of Fayetteville. He was very devoted to his family and was an avid golfer.

Mrs. Marjorie Elaine Pitner of Fayetteville, formerly of Forest Park, passed away on October 13, 2012 at the age of 80.

She was one of six daughters of W.R. and Lois Gordon of Forest Park, Ga. Elaine was a loving and devoted wife, mother of five, grandmother of nine and great grandmother of eight who loved generously and embraced all people. She worked at Georgia Telco Credit Union and retired after 31 years of service. She was a faithful member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.

Merle Lester Leonard, age 88, of Eastman

Merle Lester Leonard, age 88, of Eastman, Ga., died Tuesday, October 2, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 4, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Leonard was a First Lieutenant, a B-29 Pilot and a WWII veteran. He attended First Presbyterian Church and was a retired state fire marshall. Lynda was born November 26, 1953 in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Earl Pace and Alice Doyle Pace. She attended St. Mary's University and received a Bachelor of Science. She was the co-owner of Ici Paris Day Spa in Peachtree City.

Lynda is preceded in death by her mother, Alice Pace.
