Script workshop set for July 18

A program recently announced by the Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department are designed to give participants a peek inside the entertainment industry that is growing rapidly in this area.

“Script Idea: Now What?” is for anyone who has a great idea for a television show and wants to take it to the next level. Discussion will include such topics as how to create scenes and develop plot and characters. The workshop will be led by an industry veteran who has successfully written scripts for the Tyler Perry shows “Meet the Browns” and “For Better or Worse.”

It is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, from 9-11 a.m. at the county’s Activities House. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Cost is $40 per resident and $60 per non-resident.
