Newt Getrich is correct about this.

Gov Romney should show us his tax forms so we may all learn the truth about the burdensome taxes that must be endured by the downtrodden rich.

Open the books on Bain Capital and prove to all the naysayers how he created 100k jobs.

The time for talk is over! Put up or shut up! Papers Please!

Mitt Romney says he pays at the 15% tax rate.

The crushing weight of the US Tax Code shines its smiling face at Mitt Romney, doesn’t it?

Hey working man, what are you paying? Do you feel like a sucker?

The Republican Party wants to run this phony coupon cutting 15%er for President?

15%

When one is fortunate to own/be part owner of so many businesses - just imagine the loopholes his tax man can take advantage of!!!! It looks like Ginrich and Santorum have foot in mouth disease - the Republicans will not support Ron Paul - and Huntsman is gone. Romney it is apparently. This will be an interesting election this year! Thanks Republican Party for giving the Democrats so much to question regarding Romney. His answers played well to the Republican south - but the younger generation is more moderate. We'll see in November 2012.

Gort 15%

He has paid his allowance and will continue to support the Tax cuts for the rich. Wish my % of contribution was that low.

T-Man, if you work for a living

you'll never get a break from anyone in the Republican Party. They’ll stroke you all day long on the social issues but when it comes to money, forget about it.

Romney's 15%......

The money he made in order to have money to invest was already taxed previously at the regular/higher tax rates, meaning he's one of those who gets the special "double taxation." It's just not "fair enough" to tax someone once when you can penalize their earnings after taxes with even further taxes!

Nuk1, I doubt if he paid 15%

Nuk1, I doubt if he paid 15% on his full fortune, just the money earned in any given year. I'm taxed on my earnings every year why not everyone else?

Now Gort

Both your and my investment tax rates are capped at 15%, it's the law. Mr Romney's income is investment income.

Now please inform us who in Congress championed these rates? Caution, you might discover that a Democrat was involved.

Mike King, I didn’t call Mitt Romney an outlaw.

I just think it’s outrageous.

Why is it legal? Most legislation is written for the benefit of special interest groups because lawmakers are so dependant on them for campaign contributions and other considerations when they leave office. I agree almost everyone in politics is involved but that doesn’t make it okay. Instead of calling it bribery, we call it freedom of speech, and live in a world of pretend.

There is a reason why the middle class is getting smaller. From my personal experience it’s not because people don’t want to work. My opinion is the special interests have their thumb on the scale and are pressing down too damn hard.
