Yes. Mikey, I certainly was there. Unlike others we know I
had the nerve to put myself out there--but I guess maybe you had sent your guts out to the cleaners and had none to wear, so you couldn't make it. You are the one always harping about how brave you are to put your name and address and length of time you have resided here on every blog. But when the chips were down, and all the huffing and puffing was over Mikey was a no show--well, like they say--no guts, no glory. So, tell me now, who is it who sits at their computer and hacks away (oops, sorry, Hack, didn't mean to besmirch your name)---pecks away at one and all--I'm big, I'm bad,--when in fact you're lame and sad. There will probably be another get together in three months. Maybe if you started now--repeating like the little engine that could ---"yes, I can, yes, I can" maybe you can grow some by then.

Kevin, Nuk, Wedge, the Mikes, et al., how wonderful to finally
put a face with all the names. I must admit that I probably will not be able to remember them tomorrow! Nice conversations, good hugs, great people and coffee, what more could we ask for? Well, maybe a few others I was anxious to meet--jevank, dawn, and too many to name. I want to adopt Kevin and his beautiful smile, but I will admit if I were forty years younger I would not have let him leave the room! What a personality, and did I mention that smile? Everyone there was special in some way--so nice to hear a group of people in coversation with not a cross word spoken. I think these coffees should be quarterly rather than annually---I know once a month would probably be impossible but maybe quarterly?

Okay, Kev, be a good guy now and do not ruin my morning for me.
I think MMike was out shining Eric's shoes--or licking his boots, couldn't tell from his post glorifying our candidate. Whatever the reason, I am grateful that I was spared the experience. Even tho' I did get my shots a few days ago and had my crucifix handy just in case. Can't be too careful, you know.
Wonder if Cal will break the "Greenbelt" case before the election, and if he does if he will post and print it? Would be good to know just who perpetrated that dastardly deed. Really wanted the opportunity to use the word dastardly in a sentence--such a nice word-speaks of dark nights and skulking-so fitting--being Halloween and all, don't you think?
Keep smiling---it makes people wonder what you are up to, and on you it looks good~

Good time was had by all
I had no idea I was a neighbor of MajorMike's for many years or just what a great guy he is either for that matter. This is the 3rd "blogger coffee" I've been to and I am still surprised about how much we all have in common despite our rantings here. Seems that we're still able to celebrate our commonalities instead of bemoaning our differences.
Big shout-out to MYTIMITE who is one fiesty lady with a real zest for life and glad you could make it! Good times......

It was great--I was the only one of the female persuasion but
they were all perfect gentlemen-darn it!! Seriously, eveny one was nice, good conversation and everyone got along. No doggie show though--maybe next time. Hope we get to meet at the next one. Maybe the every three month thingy will happen--would be nice.

I do wish you could have made it. I would muchly enjoy meeting you and you would have really, really enjoyed it. If we can gear this soiree' up to once a quarter it would be great - good coffee, great company, and a pleasant (though surprising) similarity of mindsets.
