It is yet to be seen that Obama has avoided a recession or depression. I was no fan of Bush but I can fully understand why many Americans view Obama as the Devil incarnate.
The "surplus" you refer to (left by slick Willie Clinton) never existed except as projections on paper. And ...... in the process of doing that Clinton gutted the CIA and, in great respect, the military. 9/11 would probably never have happened if Clinton had not put severe restrictions on CIA agent recruitment.
Obama calls repeatedly for both sides to "reach across the isle" yet his demands don't match his rhetoric. The Republicans, under the Democratically controlled Congress, have been "reaching" - translate that to "having their arms yanked out of their sockets". Now that the Dems no longer have a lock on the power Obama wants more compromise. I don't think so.
Sounds like a union doesn't it?
The American public can no longer afford the Obama style blind rush to socialism. Sure, we need to cut entitlements - specifically, we need to cut the people/parasites that never paid into the system. We need to get the multigenerational freeloaders off of the system. Get rid of Obama's freeloading aunt as a start.

The Justice Dept these days is horrid
Not that it has been all that great in the recent when you had the worst of the worst like Ed Meese and Janet Reno as Attorney General, but Holder might have trumped them all with his hyper-political bias.
Going after banks for simply not opening a brick and mortar branch in certain lousy areas as "racism" is ludicrous, and totally ignores lessons that were supposed to have been learned very recently about stupid lending practices. Here, it's an assault on common sense under the guise of "racism."
What's next.....is Holder and his JUstice flunkies going to attack major grocery chains like Kroger or Publix if they don't open in a desolate area of poverty? Maybe Neiman-Marcus gets hauled into court for refusing to build a store on Stewart Avenue...err...."Metropolitan Parkway."

I didn't realize that the only poor people who live in cesspool areas were black. All along I thought the statistics showed the significant majority of the people happen to be "white."
There are no "national laws" that dictate where businesses MUST locate, even banks, until now that is where the Justice Dept is attempting to make a de facto regulation that has never existed by claiming that a bank that doesn't open a branch in a certain area is actually discriminating or redlining.

“Why is it right to increase our nation's dependence on foreign creditors?” Reid said on March 16, 2006. “Democrats won't be making an argument to support this legalization, which will weaken our country.”
Oops, here's what he said on April 15th this year!

2.3 million more citizens are looking for a job than when Mr. Obama took office.
The national debt has increased during Mr. Obama’s administration at a rate never seen in US history.
Currently the debt is over 14 trillion dollars and threatens our way of life.

To simplify all of the rhetoric (untrue) you spouted, I will sum it up simply:
Reagan and Bush jr. went over budget twelve trillion of the 14 trillion deficit! (while in the office of the President). They vetoed nothing.
Obama came into office in January 2008, with the country on the very edge of a Great Depression. All that due primarily to the attitude the Bush administration had about regulations for banks and money handlers. Hands off entirely.
Put honey in front of a bear with no bars between him and the honey and he will eat the honey. All of it.
The country was saved from depression, at least temporarily, by Bush bailing out the money handlers, and then Obama the banks and autos--which most has been repaid.
Yes, our way of life is threatened but not by Obama, but by an attitude of let the customer beware!
Hell, even the phone companies are now slamming us with fake charges!
We had to have some kind of jobs for crooks when we lost ours!
I fear the depression is yet to come, not by current actions but of all the credit out there yet with insufficient assets.
There is absolutely no way out now except to continue to bail out the extreme cases of poor management and lack of regulations.
Maybe Saudi Arabia and China will bail us out! Obama's fault---bull---that is like saying no one killed Kaylee!
