Is President Obama Capable Of Honesty?

During Mr Obama's earlier State Of The Union address to Congress Rep Joe Wilson shouted "You Lie!" when Mr Obama stated that no federal funds were to be used for funding abortion. Of course, Rep Wilson was vilified by all except those who knew the President was, in fact, being much less than honest.

I could cite one example after another, but what makes me realize he is no more than a self aggrandizing politician is that when Seal Team Six took down America's Number One enemy he stepped right up and basked in the glory. Yes, he was the Commander in Chief at the time and gave the go ahead, but a couple excerpts by the President shows me his real character:

2008: "Navy SEAL Team 6 is Cheney's private assassination team."
2011: "I put together SEALTeam 6 to take out Bin Laden."

2008: "Bin Laden is innocent until proven guilty, and must be captured alive and given a fair trial."
2011: "I authorized SEAL Team 6 to kill Bin Laden."

2008: " Guantanamo is entirely unnecessary, and the detainees should not be interrogated."
2011: "Vital intelligence was obtained from Guantanamo detainees that led to our locating Bin Laden."

He could have minimized the event and simply allowed the Defense Department to make the announcement thereby reducing any risk of retribution to those actually involved, instead he chose otherwise. Perhaps if one of his daughters were crew members on those Blackhawks things would be different.

Now now Mike!

You guys had your chance to win YOUR war.

This president is doing a damned good job directing resources to win THIS war.

Jealousy does not become you.

Amen ...

People that post garbage like this can't stand the fact that while THIS President has the unenviable task of cleaning up all the elephant poo the Republican circus left behind from the 2 Bush terms, but he's doing a darn good job of it ...

Bringing a little intellect and integrity back to our country is certainly CHANGE I CONTINUE TO BELIEVE IN.

How's that birth certificate issue still going for some of you?

Well now Mike

Here are some quotes that are real for ya:

Princess Palin on Paul Reveres ride: "…he who warned the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh, by ringin' those bells and, um, makin' sure as he's ridin' his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we're gonna be secure and we were gonna be free. And we we're gonna be armed."

Sarah Palin: Paul Revere Warned the British

No Sarah, Paul Revere didn't warn the British. No, Paul Revere didn't ring any bells. No, Paul Revere did not fire any warning shots.

Herman Cain on how we need to reread the Constitution: "We don’t need to rewrite the Constitution of the United States of America, we need to reread the Constitution and enforce the Constitution. … And I know that there are some people that are not going to do that, so for the benefit of those who are not going to read it because they don’t want us to go by the Constitution, there’s a little section in there that talks about “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” You know, those ideals that we live by, we believe in, your parents believed in, they instilled in you. When you get to the part about “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” don’t stop there, keep reading."

Herman Cain Needs To Reread The Constitution

Uh... that would be the Declaration of Independence Herman.

You have a nice weekend too!

NO NO NO NO NO Mike!!!

Never, never, ever! You know what I'd say as a local politician when somebody complained about their roads or trash or stuff. "Here's a quarter. Go call somebody that gives a flip" (I cleaned that up. It's a family newspaper).

The only thing I'll ever run for is the border, if I ever got nominated for something.

My adoring wife of 36 years, would cut out my liver and heart and feed them to the fox that lives in my back yard. Then she'd probably drag what's left of me into the driveway and run over me with her car. Repeatedly. Then she'd shoot my flattened remains with her little Glock. Several times. Any jury would rule justifiable homicide; and I'd posthumously agree with them.

Besides, there is a virtue of me living in Fayette County. I could run on a platform saying that I would pay everybody's taxes for as long as I was in office and I still couldn't get elected.

Anyway, we all are so happy here in Fayette County being under complete, harmonious, and total Republican control, why should I even contemplate it?

No! No! No!

So let me help.
PTC 2 seats both easy wins. Going against Doug the easiest.
County Commission 3 seats. Some district stuff, but surely you can get in one of them.
PTC Mayor - shoo-in next year.
The wife can be bought on board. Just tell her she will be respected and idolized just like Mrs. Steve Brown or Mrs. Don Haddix or Mr. Janet Smola. It is all good. Go for it Jeffy.

Sorry for being ambiguous Robert

If you'd be willing to discuss your case in a calm, dispassionate, presentation to my wife while she has her tiny little Glock in her purse, call me and I'll set it up. We can have dinner. I'll cook out. Let me know if you want to discuss it before we eat or after so I'll know whether to cook for two or for three.

Otherwise, how about a compromise? Mike King runs and you support him and I'll denounce him as an outrageous no-nothing Reagan Republican, completely at odds with my liberal philosophy.

He won't get a better endorsement.

I would support Mike King, but alas, he too cites spousal non-support for elective office. But he has done it once. I think we are way past liberal or conservative when finding candidates for local office. Everybody is either a Republican or pretends to be one, pandering to the populace. At this point I think we need to just screen candidates to see if they have room temperature IQ and have tested negative for signs of meglomania. Truly good people with common sense - like you and Mike don't run and we are left with a second tier.

It doesn't surprise me that she has no clue about basic American history, but I would have figured that since she decided she wanted to be a very public figure that she might hire some advisers to help her overcome her terrible ignorance, but I guess not. No worries..there will be several of the usual Tea Party clowns defending her here because they like their women really dumb like Palin, Bachman, Angle, etc.

She wouldn't have the knowledge to handle such a trip and would not read enough to know much about each area.

Can you imagine Palin making such a trip as President Obama just made, making scores of speeches about everything in the world, signing treaties, dealing with tornados and floods at home, three wars, and the republicans who want to destroy the middle class even further?

2/3 rds. experience as Governor, doesn't make up for a lack of basic intelligence and no desire for knowledge or self preparation.

Only thing I can figure her supporters are thinking is that she can be manipulated by a White house full of Svengali!

She claims to "know her American history" and I guess everyone else has been ignorant this whole time to the real truth that only a Sarah Palin could bring to us.

Seriously...why is someone this ignorant even media fodder for cheap headlines? Is it because the left loves to see her make a total fool out of herself or is it also because a lot of stupid Americans think she's intelligent and something besides an airhead?

In my opinion (only), Paul Revere if he made much of a ride at all at "midnight," couldn't have warned a score of people about the British about to invade either by land or sea!

Those who were supposed to know would have had to be able to see the one or two lanterns in the church tower to know if by "land or sea"! One for land, two for sea.

Mr Revere (had a French Father) apparently had the ability to change trades as often as necessary to keep up with the times! He was a silversmith, a metalsmith, a dentist, a hardware seller, an army officer, and the Father of seven alive. (at different times).

I fear this story has been aggrandized along the way to make the revolution more romantic.

The British did want what guns the rebels had, as Sarah Palin said, but Paul never told the british they wouldn't give them up. He did mislead a couple away from a place he knew Hancock and others were!
They couldn't collect the guns then no more than we could now.

Palin can attend the Anthony Weiner School

of Public Speaking. Or the Debbie Wasserman Shultz School of Analyzing Medicare. That should help polish her performance. I keep telling you that Palin is not a serious candidate and is just resume building and fund raising for the Republicans. She's also a very effective stalking horse for the liberals that attack her out of their normal fear of an outspoken woman who won't parrot their mantra on "reproductive rights" or Medicare and Social Security are in fine shape.

Sanitarium announced today---a man who couldn't even keep his Senate seat.

They seem to get worse every day! Maybe Palin will be the best---she has made her millions, Huckaberry couldn't leave his million dollar FOX job yet, not rich enough for a good preacher.

Newton (fig) of curse abandoned too many sickened wives and spent too much on the current one on credit (for the free interest), to have much of a chance. He also can change his "mind" every other day if necessary and is able to explain it all away, and sound smart.

The car salesman guy (where he got his money) has a real strange religion--even worse than no religion like most Presidents, have you ever read that stuff about souls in the sky needing their spouses to join them as a pair again? Not sure about 2nd and 3rd wives---which one is waiting! And those golden plates and Smith the successor of Christ.

There are others of less repute!

I'd really like to see a strong Independent democrat, or republican like the Senator from the North we already have, run aside from either party, split the vote, and let the House decide!

He was counting the territories too. Still, he said "states" and has deservedly taken the flack for it.

The difference, of course, is that no one seriously believes that Obama doesn't know how many states there are. But everybody who sees the Palin video knows that she didn't have a clue about Paul Revere's ride beyond a comic book education.

I don't really care. She's just another FOX commentator now, blathering to her adoring fans. What I find amusing is the way she can just totally suck the air out of all the actual Republican candidates campaigns just by appearing somewhere. She did a masterful job stepping on Romney's announcement! I can't wait for her to go after Bachmann, which she most certainly will since Bachmann directly threatens her base.

Palin has the highest disapproval rating and the lowest approval rating. She's going to sit on FOX (or better yet, road trip and follow the candidates), saying nasty things about them and the candidates are going to have to constantly answer questions about her comments. They won't be able to say that her comments are lunacy since that will upset the core Republican constituency. So they will have to nod their heads and pontificate about how wise her crackpot views are, no matter how outlandish. The Dems will be taking notes.

I hope she runs. She is so toxic and polarizing that it only helps the Democrats for the Republicans to have to bow and grovel to her. How many votes swung to the Republicans after she claimed Revere warned the British? How many were turned off even more with yet another display of vacuity among the Republican candidates?

It is going to be a wonder to behold.

Hi Mike. You're full of EDITED for violation of terms of service. President Obama NEVER claimed that Seal Team 6 was Dick Cheney's personal assassination squad. The person who actually said that was New Yorker reporter and author Seymour Hersh. Even Fox News knows this LINK

Also, it wasn't President Barack Obama who said the "Osama is innocent until proven guilty". That was Howard Dean. LINK

I've been looking all over for sources to these quotes. As for the first one relating to the "assassination team" that was actually spoken by New Yorker reporter Seymour Hersh, not President Obama. The other two quotes i can only find on other blogs that have an obvious agenda against Obama and lean to the right. So without any other sources those quotes are dubious at best. I have no problem with people criticizing the President, whichever party he comes from. But it should be done based on facts, and should be a reasonable argument against his policy. They should not be based on smear campaigns from anonymous people on the internet.

I think I'll show myself right back out now that I see that nothing has changed but some of the names.

Still a bunch of nasty partisan argumentum ad hominem, liberal robotic bootlicking and hypersensitive conservative knee-jerkiness (y'all owe me a non-word for that Latin phrase above). I'm tired of the back-and-forth about this idiot that this other idiot supports, or that moron that this moron supports.

Perhaps the idiots and morons are the ones staring at us from our mirrors, the ones who willfully refuse-- even when faced with overwhelming evidence-- to acknowledge that almost all politicians are selfish, greedy self-serving swine who have become intoxicated with the the power that we have given them to do things for us that we should be doing for ourselves and each other. They may not have started out that way, but power corrupts. So, we fight like dogs in the gutter while they - The New Aristocracy - act as if they are appalled by our behavior. Quite an effective strategy, setting us at odds with each other so we won't notice that even the, "good guys", are completely screwing us, don't you think? Really, the question to the raucous mob, the great unwashed is as simple as that. Don't you think?

A house divided cannot stand.

Class warfare, envy, jealousy, religious or secular oppression, racism, fear of failure, financial uncertainty, world instability, et cetera, ad nauseum...

They instigate this strife, then have the unmitigated gall to demand more money and control from us to "deal" with it.

These are the prybars and wedges they use to segregate us from our neighbors and separate us from our reason. They are the nimble fingers that pick our pockets and the riot police they use to "keep the peace".

Grow up, before it's too late. All of you people who support "your" chosen elected officials without the slightest question, examination or when they err, rebuttal must stop trying to prove that the other guy and his guy in D.C. are wrongheaded asses and GROW UP. Know this; they are greedy swine feeding at the trough filled with the fruit of our folly. They are all wrongheaded asses, almost to a man, and we have been derelict in our duty to remind them that they must fear us.

We continue to abdicate our authority, though. Could it be that they know more about us than we can admit to ourselves? With power comes responsibility, and that seems to be the problem.

As long as we fight each other, they'll continue to grow fat on what rightly belongs to us.

I'm out... Just call me "Disgustipated"

Ionized: Vote Mytmite and Ionized.

How did we let this incredible post from August on Mike King's inaccurate blog go unacknowledged? What were we thinking? Words to live by... Now back to bashing republicans :-))

WAKE UP! Read, research, reason - VOTE!! We have the power!! Demand reasoned cooperation towards solutions from our leaders. Keep abreast of the activities of our reps in Congress. Are they really representing US? Unreasoned conflict divides. Thanks ionized!
