PTCO, I'm Glad You Finally

see the LIGHT! Austrian Economics, Libertarianism, and Randian Objectivism are just as you said-BONKERS! Mission Accomplished! Now that you have turned the corner, I can devote 100% of my attention to sports rather than 99.5%!

Go Braves!

PTCO, Ninja Work Is

such a high-value-added endeavor, it only requires a couple of hours a day, sometimes none!

Ninja - I know

we have gone through your "work" and your double degrees in money related matters, all tied in neatly to government largess.

Since you like to watch videos, try this one. You may learn something.

PTCO, Thanks For Video!

Freddy is a bit hard to understand, but interesting nevertheless! I don't like to spend too much time watching oldies but goodies, as the fight has already been fought and Hayek et al lost! It's like Sugarfoot and that bunch rehashing the Civil War! I am a forward thinker these days! Can't change the past but perhaps the future! Calvinism no, but not completely sold on free will!

No, I don't have any big juicy government contracts, but would like to get some! Know where I can pick up a few?

Hawks lose! Booooo!
Braves win! Yeaaaahh!

Well, if what we have now in the USA is losing, then winning must be beyond anything even Charlie Sheen can image! You constantly underestimate the ability of the American people and resident illegal immigrants to overcome any missteps by our elected officials and corporate leaders! But, I doubt that Libertarianism or von Misesianism, or Hayekianism will cure the ails of Haiti! Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, where are you when we need you?!!!

Go Hawks! Sports is one area where predestination may not be a strong force!

You mispoke

for me Ninja, that's not what I said. We are all poorer for not following Hayekianism vs. Keynesian economics.

As far as Haiti is concerned, it is a classic example of political corruption gone wild. Even Gates and Buffet couldn't come out of that mess with anything useful. Now, our governmment that's another story, it has unlimited money, and don't you know a whole bunch of people with political connections in and out of Haiti are making a fortune helping those unfortunate people.

Finally, I don't underestimate the people of our country. If I underestimmate it is in underestimating the courious lack of critical thinking on the part of people like you.

Now go read Human Action, if you insist, again.

The Ninja Only Misspeaks For Himself!

All I'm saying is that if what we have now is losing compared with what we could have had under Hayek and the gold standard or bimetallic standard, then losing ain't too bad, especially here is the quasi-socialist over-regulated city of PTC, the Singapore of the South!

I have already done my critical thinking! I'm leaving that for the new generation while I try to re-learn the game of golf, maybe, follow some select sports teams, ferry my kids around to their various endeavors, blog on various and sundry topics, think about the future, take pretty pictures, write a book or two, and, yes, work a little!

Haiti should be taken over and run by a regent like MacArthur! Total benevolent dictatorship for a decade plus then slow transition to home rule! It worked for the Japanese!

Go Hawks! Get back in the game!

Go Hawks!

Ninja_Guy, I think I see your

Ninja_Guy, I think I see your point. Like Kim Jong IL is Howard Rourke and North Korea is his Fountainhead, which he didn’t earn but inherited from his father.

Kim Jong IL, “An uncompromising, visionary architect, (of a hell on earth,) struggles to maintain his integrity and individualism despite personal, professional and economic pressures to conform to popular standards.”

It certainly reads like Ayn Rand fiction.

Well, Gort I HAVE TO

give you a giant Ninja double sword high-five with poisoned-tipped throwing stars! You have surpassed the Ninja in blogging creativity! It has been so long since I read the Fountain Head that I had to dig deep to even remember who Howard Rourke was/is, and you were able to weave that into a comment on KJL! Kudos!

Go Hawks!

Another excuse!!!

If we voted and every opinion was considered before helping, most would say NO due to the possibility of the wrong people maybe getting some of the food!

It happens a lot now in urban areas. Do we take it away from all for that reason?

Comprehension?

Does Jimmy Carter Have No Shame?

Carter was later asked by the South Korean media whether he believes there are human rights problems in North Korea.

Quote:

Carter’s response? He has “concerns” but North Korea’s policies “cannot be changed by outsiders.” Then he went on to declare that the most important human right is “to have food to eat and for South Korea and Americans, and others to deliberately withhold food aid for North Korean people…is indeed a human rights violation.”.

Got that? We’re the problem. Not the North Korean dictatorship.

Comprehension skills? Do you really support a policy that withholds food from people who are suffering? We are the purveyors of 'human rights'. History proves that outsiders cannot change the policies of another country. I 'hear' Mr. Carters message loud and clear, if he actually made this statement . North Korea leaders are not feeding their citizens, for whatever reason - and our policy should not be to be a partner in their inability or refusal to feed their own. We are not talking about sending them guns. Nowhere in this message do I hear that America or South Korea are at fault. Even more important, I question the credibility of the messengers.
