Blame Righty: A Condensed History

I agree with President Obama. When it comes to politicizing random violence, he and his supporters have been "far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than" they do. Recognition is the first step toward reconciliation. It's time to recognize the poisonous pervasiveness of the Blame Righty meme.

For the past two years, Democratic officials, liberal activists and journalists have jumped to libelous conclusions about individual shooting sprees committed by mentally unstable loners with incoherent delusions all over the ideological map. The White House now pledges to swear off "pointing fingers or assigning blame." Alas, the Obama administration's political and media foot soldiers have proved themselves incapable of such restraint.

January 14, 2011 - Few U.S. Voters Blame Guns, Rhetoric For Ariz. Shooting, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Most See Racial Progress Since Dr. King Was Killed
http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x1295.xml?ReleaseID=1548

"American voters say 52 - 41 percent that "heated political rhetoric drives unstable people to commit violence," the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds. Liberals rather than conservatives are more responsible for such rhetoric, voters say 36 - 32 percent. "

Looks like most of America is not buying the Progressive spin that Sarah Palin and the Teaparty are responsible for the violence. Actually seems like a small majority feels like it's the Liberals who are fault.

Sort of blows one posters theory all to heck doesn't it.

Bbbbbut Palin, crosshairs, hate, Palin, yada, yada, yada.

No, not all crazy people shoot someone because of rhetoric of the other crazies----just half of them actually do something terrible.

When Reagan closed all of the mental hospitals except for felony crazies, handed them a poke of pills and said walk the streets, we have had no system to weed out these nuts--male and female, before they actually explode.

Many of them we simply use the prison system to treat them (someway).
