Repeal of the new health plan

A few of those newly elected to congress had told their business partners (almost all citizens want the health changes)
that when they got elected that they would repeal the health plan.
They are setting about wasting everyone's time now trying to do so. Even IF it passes the house, the senate is sure to stop it.
The President certainly won't sign it.
The games to stop payments are useless.
This sort of ylling to the ignorant should be stopped.

Is known as a certificate of live birth, it IS NOT a birth certificate. If you look carfully the CLB is printed by a DOT MATRIX printer, something that was yet to be invented when Obama was born in 1961. Obama may have a birth certificate but for some unknown reason he has not produced it. 2012 should be interesting as several states have passed bills requiring a BIRTH CERTIFICATE to be on the ballot. -GP

The President is smarter than that. He was accepted as a qualified candidate by proper officials and he doesn't owe every complainer in the USA any further explanation. If he tried that, then every candidate in the future would have to satisfy for their entire term every member of the opposite party.
It is just more of the radical bunch's crap. By the way does Boehner have a birth Certificate? Many don't, you know. I'll bet Lincoln didn't have one.

Fact - Not all states provide a copy of original birth certificates when requesting a copy of the same. From personnel experience they give you a Live Birth cert. when you request a replacement. The state of Hawaii would be at fault if what they have provided does not meet your standard. Start with them maybe they need a laugh with someone as gullible as you.

I will respond to you because you are a decent fellow and not prone to illogical rants. I don't think there is a special clause under USCIS for children of military personnel to automatically receive citizenship at birth. Perhaps you could kindly direct me to that info?
The citizenship of persons born outside of the US has to do with the nationality of the parents, at least one of which needs to be a US citizen and meet some other requirements.
I have researched this issue for a while now, and not because of the birther nonsense, and in all the info about McCain's citizenship status did I see anything referring to 'because his father was serving in the military.' The US is a jus sanguinis (by blood) and a jus soli (by soil) nation when it comes to citizenship, so there are various ways to be a 'natural born' citizen, which does not mean 'born in the US' as most birthers believe.

All I'm asking is what is being asked that is different if you or I had a situation where we needed to prove our birthplace/birthtime? Would we hesitate to release the info? I don't think so. I have had to do that a number of times for a number of reasons and it always cost me a few bucks to get a certified copy from the NC Dept of Vital Statistics--no problem.

Not dot-matrix, laser
Dot matrix documents are very easy to alter and I can't think any state would be reproducing "official documents" with a dot matrix printer. The certificate of live birth that a very, very few people in the world give a damn whatsoever about was clearly printed from a laser printer.
Not that it matters, but I don't see anywhere in the article where the author says anything about dot matrix printing anyway.
Also, I don't know where you got the wrong idea about how long dot matrix printers have been around, but IBM was making them in the 1950's before Obama was born in 1961. Again, not that it matters whatsoever in this issue.

My wife and I have also had long term care insurance for 9 years. We could afford it and got it when we were both reasonably healthy.
The LTC under the Affordable Healthcare Act would not have been free. Why did you think it was to be free?
The program was cancelled because it depended on large numbers of healthy, working people to join the program and analysis showed that was unlikely to happen.

It was common knowledge that it was impossible for CLASS to be in any way self-sustaining. Maybe it was the fact that its biggest proponent(Kennedy) died that CLASS was ever included, but anyone even barley proficient in math knew it was completely doomed as a self-sustaining program, just like SS is. Fortunately, this ponzi nonsense just got cutoff before it could be ingrained as another "right" and another drag on the country and a strong encouragement for those to depend on "everyone else" to take care of them.

If we can't hope that Washington will improve and work for the American people, WE'RE IN TROUBLE!! My point regarding polio was prevention does save money. My mom will be 101 in December! . . .and she's getting stronger!!!! Her long term health care is me!! ( Plus she and my father planned for the future. However, without LTHC, she would have to assign much of her property to a care facility.). Statistics support that our elders live longer in their own home with family / familiar surroundings. If we become a healthier nation, we may be able to care for ourselves well past 80. My mother was not in need of daily supervised care until she was 95.
