OK by me, but think a minute.
We currently have 15,000,000 unemployed people, and with under-employed it amounts to possibly 15-18% unemployment.

There are also 16,000,000 government workers of all types.

One-half of them laid off as the TEAS want would raise the unemployed rate to about 23-26% of the work force. (23,000,000 unemployed).

That would be instant Depression and the end of the banks for a long while. Afraid tax collection would go to near zero, also!

I know this isn't going to happen for obvious reasons But it points out what crap is said by amateurs when they are the ones who allowed it to happen!
We sat on our duff while Nero fiddled for 10 years! Why? Everyone was fat and happy and didn't try to do anything about obvious credit situations and lengthy wars.
I don't know about you, but currently there is nothing for one to invest their savings into, paying a decent return, to live on. CDs are .8%, not 1%, point 8 tenths percent. he stock market---forget about it! construction? Forget about it. Most other fairly safe things paying 1and2 % return--that is breaking even!

Social Security keeps getting worth less and less to the retired.

These people also preach, "save your money," and you can retire on your own.

Better find some other jobs by the millions instead of adding to the unemployed right now.
Laws do require municipalities, towns, states, etc. to balance their budgets, so either change the law, borrow money, or lay-off.
We are in trouble and have been several years.
These puny "bailouts" are holding us even now, but not for much longer.

Want to buy some federal bonds to cover more money for teachers, cops, firemen, etc., since states can not? I mean those of you with a job, of course.
It pays about 2%, I think. Maybe.

Sorry, forgot

At some point, Japan, China, England, and others whom we owe trillions, are going to demand immediate payment or something worse! Americans who are owed for our debt can't do that however.

Cuba has it figured out shame we can't as well.

Cuba to lay off 500,000 workers
http://www.mercurynews.com/california/ci_16070567?nclick_check=1

"HAVANA — Cuba announced Monday it will cast off at least half a million state workers by early next year and reduce restrictions on private enterprise to help them find new jobs — the most dramatic step yet in President Raul Castro's push to radically remake employment on the communist-run island."

Joke of the Year

(No, not you CHR$)

A Russian arrives in New York City as a new immigrant to the United
States .

He stops the first person he sees walking down the street and says,
"Thank you Mr. American for letting me into this country, giving me housing, food stamps, free medical care, and a free education!"

The passerby says, "You are mistaken, I am a Mexican."

The man goes on and encounters another passerby.
"Thank you for having such a beautiful country here in America ."

The person says, "I not American, I Vietnamese."

The new arrival walks farther, and the next person he sees he stops, shakes his hand, and says, "Thank you for wonderful America !"

That person puts up his hand and says, "I am from Middle East . I am not
American."

He finally sees a nice lady and asks, "Are you an American?"
She says, "No, I am from Africa ."

Puzzled, he asks her, "Where are all the Americans?"

The African lady checks her watch and says, "Probably at work."

But not installing roofs in 120 degrees, or cutting brush and grass by hand, or washing dishes in the back of restaurants, or cooking and waiting!
Slaughterhouses and pea picking and chicken plucking and hog butchering and veggie stooping are also poplar---but not you or computers peckers!

The Vietnamese are college instructors, the middle-easterners are in college, and the Russian will probably spy!

Joe Kawfi, actually that was

Joe Kawfi, actually that was 'joke of the year' in 1968 when an American could still get a job. Things have changed a lot since then.

After 1968, came Nixon, then came the neo-cons, then came Ronald Reagan, then came voodoo economics, then came deregulation of the savings and loan, then came the savings and loan crisis, then came the free trade agreements, then came the contract on America, then came banking deregulation, then came Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Bush and the whole house of cards finally come crashing down.

Letter from Doctor

Here is what he wrote on August 23, 2009 in the Mississippi Clarion Ledger

"During my last shift in the ER, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient with a shiny new gold tooth, multiple elaborate tatoos and a new cellular telephone equipped with her favorite R&B tune for a ring tone.

Glancing over the chart, one could not help noticing her payer status: Medicaid.

She smokes a costly pack of cigarettes every day and, somehow, still has money to buy beer.

And our president expects me to pay for this woman’s health care?

Our nation’s health care crisis is not a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. It is a crisis of culture – a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on vices while refusing to take care of one’s self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance.

Life is really not that hard. Most of us reap what we sow."

Hey Mikey

Wrong-o Mikey. I am all about self-reliance.

Obama's plan is nothing but a continuation of the cradle-to-grave welfare state that he wants everyone under. He wants us all to be serfs beholden to the government.

Obama is a miserable failure - just like Jimmy Carter was.

No Medical Doctor would publish such crap. It violates his oath.

Being able to get others to buy them tattoos, cigarettes, gold teeth, phones, and beer (did she bring some beer into the hospital?), for favors she may have provided---like O'Donnell used to do, has nothing to do with her being able to pay $15,000 a year for health insurance---no boyfriend will pay all that!

Do doctors really have an interest in whether people have Medicaid? Why?

Maybe she has a fatal heart valve defect!

Did Jesus ask those dudes he healed if they could work?
You are a prime example of judgmental ignorance.

The letter is real, Dollar. Check it out on Snopes yourself.

A pack a day smoker should be ineligible for medicaid regardless of who is buying them.

You bleeding heart libs and your desire to pay for the well being of the dregs of society are bankrupting our country.
