More change you can believe in

It would have made more sense to increase the minimum sentence for cocaine rather than let a bunch of crack addicts and dealers roam the streets. Oh, that's right - this law isn't being signed by Obumbles because it is the right thing to do - he's just trying to pander to his base - which happens to be crack dealers and addicts.
Welfare agencies boost voters
Voting rights advocates say millions of low-income people could be registered this way. A U.S. Election Assistance Commission report in 2007-08 showed 21 states registered less than 1% of voters at welfare offices. Only Vermont, Tennessee and New York registered more than 4% that way.
IMO, if a person receives welfare or food stamps, they should not be eligible to vote. Their vote more than not would go to a candidate that would redistribute wealth from the productive to the unproductive.
You should be able to receive welfare or vote, but not both.
