The gun carry fanatics and right wing militia types held rallies today on the National Mall and at Fort Hunt, VA. to protest against our tyrannical Federal Government. (If the Federal Government had not taken control of these areas, the protesters would be holding their protests knee deep in swamp land.)
In anticipation of the protests, the tyrannical Federal Government (led by the forces of the National Park Service) mowed the lawns, trimmed the hedges,mulched the flower beds, and provided rest room facilities. This type of tyranny has to stop and must be met by militia force of arms--the protesters apparently believe.
It is easy to make fun of these Clint Eastwood wannabes. But they represent a danger. The anti-government rantings from right wing media and, some politicians who should know better, has fueled some of the more irrational elements in our country. And they carry out their anti-Government protests on the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing
These idiots wrap themselves in the flag and patriotism and threaten violence against the United States. It is time to call out these folks for the fools they are.

Because anyone that wants to link law abiding Gun carrying citizens to McVeigh wannabe's deserves to be ignored.. You have just entered that arena.

The Oklahoma tragedy would never have been 'linked' to the protesters - if they hadn't chosen the anniversary of the horrible incident to 'protest'! That was callous planning at it's best - or stupidity.

Terrorists, guns, and explosives
Persons on the FBI's Terrorist Watchlist can legally buy weapons and explosives.
The NY times Square bomber was able to buy a gun and ammunition even though he was on the Watchlist.
Why?
Because the gun lobby--the NRA, etc.--has severely limited the reasons persons may not buy a weapon. A very strange way for the gun lobby to protect America.

The NRA wants Terrorist to have guns..??
Let's check that logic.. A Suspected terrorist goes into a gun shop and wants to buy a gun. He goes through a back ground check a Government approved background check.. and comes up clean.. and it's the NRA's fault.

It sure is solid logic. Because the gun tards persuaded Congress not to allow historical data to be kept on gun purchases, so there is a limited window of opportunity to trace purchases.

The silence to your article is deafening. Many lost friends and family in the Oklahoma bombing. A co-worker's husband was there in the Federal Building on business - and we all felt for her as she anxiously waited to hear from him. (Before we all had cell phones). He was fine - but permanently scarred from the vision of the dead children’s bodies. I guess the some here can't see the fools for the forest.
