County employees are honored at luncheonThu, 08/09/2007 - 3:27pm
By: The Citizen
Coweta County kicked off a new employee service award program in July with a luncheon honoring all employees who had achieved a milestone anniversary from January through June of 2007. In addition, to help bridge the old program with the new program, all employees with more than 20 years service were invited to lunch as well. “In the past, we recognized these employees at commission meetings and it just was not the best way to show our appreciation to these dedicated employees. This quarterly luncheon will be a more personal and meaningful way to recognize Coweta’s long term employees,” said Tim Higgins, Coweta County Commission Chairman. During the luncheon, honorees received their award from their department head, with many taking a moment to share personal stories and focused appreciation. Luncheons will now be held quarterly and will feature awards presented by department heads or immediate supervisors. login to post comments
