looking for a veterinarian with an overhead low enough so it's not necessary to charge for a bunch of very expensive and sometimes unnecessary tests to treat sick animals.

Thanks. I'll check it out. There is an interesting article in "Consumer Reports" that discusses how some vets do business now as compared to several years ago.
