Barack the incredible Buffoon on Feb 24, 2009:
"But let me perfectly clear, because I know you’ll hear the same old claims that rolling back these tax breaks means a massive tax increase on the American people: if your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime."

Obama Adviser: U.S. Needs VAT Tax

The United States should consider raising taxes to help bring deficits under control and may need to consider a European-style value-added tax, White House adviser Paul Volcker said on Tuesday.

Volcker, answering a question from the audience at a New York Historical Society event, said the value-added tax "was not as toxic an idea" as it has been in the past and also said a carbon or other energy-related tax may become necessary.

Though he acknowledged that both were still unpopular ideas, he said getting entitlement costs and the U.S. budget deficit under control may require such moves. "If at the end of the day we need to raise taxes, we should raise taxes," he said.

No new taxes, eh' Barry? YOU LIE!!!
Watch these knucleheads try and call it a "fee".

A Value added TAX is Obama's answer to the Fairtax

He just wants to add it without repealing the 16th Amendment.

But he PROMISED no new taxes.. Well let's hope breaking that PROMISE works out as well for him as it did for George Bush Sr..

I think it's getting time for another march on DC..

Had not heard that one about the value added tax by President Pbama.
Be hard to get such a thing as that through congress.

All the exceptions every state would want for their products
would kill it. (6-7 dollar gasoline; $5.00 bread; $10,000 added to a car price; $90,000 added to a house!)

What is with you and your "marches?" Sound like the 60s! Just vote right.
We are a nation of laws, not guns.

But Bonkers Protest are Patriotic

Voting is great if there is time enough to effect a change. However to send a message to those either not up for re-election or to remind those that are we need an active population standing up for their rights.

When Washington starts ignoring the voice of the People we MUST stand up and shout to be heard if necessary.

Waiting every 2 years to be heard via a vote would not have served Martin Luther King very well now would it?

Yes, we need to schedule a march on Washington every month until the 2010 and 2012 elections. The people that are elected to represent us don't listen to us when we write them, the only time they listen is when we "get in their face", like Obama suggested that people do to opponents of his socialist policies.
