Tax Decrease In Fayette County

If I am not mistaken, all the residents of Fayette County should be celebrating. I believe that April 1 is the date that our sales tax rate should decrease to 6% from 7%. There are not many other counties that have been able to make that claim in recent years. No more SPLOST! How long will it take for businesses to make the adjustments at their registers?
According to the Fayette County, GA website:
"The tax began April 1, 2005 and will continue through March 31, 2010 or until $115,857,267 is collected, whichever occurs first."
