Why do dumocrats and the obumbles administration enjoy giving the screw to hard working Americans so much while we have starving citizens in this country?
Their wreckless disregard for the rule of law knows no bounds

IRS pays illegals $4.2 billion

Federal investigators identified one address in Atlanta where 23,994 ITIN refunds totaling $46,378,040 were delivered. A single bank account there received 8,393 refunds.

Today's Lesson on Irony

Today's Lesson on Irony - two Statements that speak volumes:

1. We are told NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics. BUT, on the other hand, we are also encouraged TO judge ALL Gun Owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

How is that supposed to work???

2. The Food Stamp Program , administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing this year the greatest amount of free Meals and Food Stamps ever , to 47 million people as of the most recent figures available in 2013.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because "The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

Some Ironies that Mr. Garvin Missed

Fred, you forgot to mention the following:

We are told that ALL welfare recipients get government funds because they are hopeless deadbeats, refuse to work, and steal from hard-working Americans who pay taxes, BUT, on the other hand, farmers who take government subsidies for NOT planting crops are upstanding citizens to be commended.

We are told that ALL food stamp recipients are gaming the system, BUT, on the other hand, Wall Street bankers who take millions of dollars in bonuses while manipulating the economic system and causing recessions are great capitalists.

We are told that President Obama is ruining the country by introducing the Affordable Care Act, BUT, on the other hand, when President Bush expanded Medicare with the Part D drug benefit with no possible means to pay for expansion, he was merely helping the poor seniors who couldn’t afford to buy their medications.

Merry Christmas!

STF & Farmers who get paid 'not to plant'.

My guess is that you don't know why that is possible or any details surrounding such an agreement!

Or when a real TV star talks about his religious beliefs

So inappropriate to talk about the bible and the concept of being a real Christian. If you are a Duck Dynasty person that is. The dude has a real point about man and woman being the way to go on sex and procreation, a 2,000 year old concept. The nancy boys and the girls that like girls are upset about this and the 25 year-olds who run TMC or A&E or whatever network the Ducks are now on think they need to censure this dude? You are silly little children pandering to silly little children. Respect the man who loves his Lord and the Bible. Or don't. The rest of us will and changing to another cable channel if they move, which I predict. Pretty easy. One click.

And how come none of the other groups he dissed on have been heard from - just the in-you-face gay activists running a cable network. Here what he really said ----“Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

Greedy means Wall Street and successful business owners
Idolaters means Obama voters minus Barbara Walters
Male prostitutes? None here in Fayette County
Drunkards - both full-time and part-time - we have them here
Slanderers means most bloggers
Swindlers are of course bankers and money changers barred from the temple.

Those groups cover a pretty high percentage of the U.S, population and we hear not a peep out of any of them except for overwhelming support for the Robertson's. Why is this gay agenda so important to the media types and the control-freak politicians. It is only 2 or 3% of the country that engages in this deviant behavior - largely to get attention - ok maybe 1% are truly in love and deserve to get married, but why do we have to keep hearing about it? Enough already. The bible has a much better message than some gay activist. I think that was the gist of Mr. Robertson's message and I'm all for it.

The family put out a very classy response to the suspension. This will pass in a few days.

My family and I like the show. The modern day Waltons. And if you see some kids after christmas hiding in the woods down by the three ponds dressed in camouflage and using duck calls, please tell them to get home.

My friend Prentice said it so well...I have mostly quoted him below because it was so well said and I totally agree.....people should think before they speak and realize that with your freedom of speech comes the consequences if people don't agree with you.

I read his remarks myself... They were offensive, not only because of their content, but also because of the manner in which they were expressed. He presented himself as a man of profound ignorance, and a deceitful and cowardly man as well. Just as many Southern women believe that they can sanitize even the most crude and vicious gossip merely by appending "bless his little heart" to their words, Robertson evidently thinks that he can rehabilitate offensive speech by blaming it on God.

Consider this combination of sentences: "It seems like, to me, a vagina – as a man – would be more desirable than a man's anus. That's just me. I'm just thinking: There's more there! She's got more to offer." Can you conjure this remark proceeding from the lips of Christ? I cannot - seriously, people! It is crude, and it is offensive on every level. There is nothing at all Christian or redeeming about such a speech.

From there, if the reports are correct, Robertson proceeded to a simple lie. It wasn't a lie well told. It was a ridiculous lie and instantly recognizable as such by even the simple minded. Robertson, who was a teenager living in Louisiana in the 1960s reportedly said:

"I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once," he told GQ. "Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I'm with the blacks, because we're white trash. We're going across the field. ... They're singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, 'I tell you what: These doggone white people' -- not a word!

"Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues," GQ quoted Robertson as saying.

Do you suppose it possible that by the age of eighteen, which he would have been in 1964, Robertson had never seen a "Whites Only" drinking fountain or restroom? Was he somehow unaware that there were no black people sitting in the cafes where he took meals? He represents that he never saw any black person mistreated. Not in his whole life. All of the black folks in Louisiana, at least during his lifetime, were singing and happy and godly and never mistreated. What a better time it was for them then. We understand from his remarks how enthusiastically he would welcome a return to those days.

So, again, his remarks were crude, common, ignorant and trashy — not attributes commonly associated with decent people of any faith. I think it would do him good to think before he speaks, may say to himself "what would Jesus do?" People often forget that Jesus was kind to the homeless, the sinners and those of unsavory life...he was not a jerk to them.

A Real Quacker

Why the hubbub about a man who promotes himself as a shameless redneck exhibiting intolerance in the name of the Divine? The religious right and tea party constantly, and with impunity, blame God for every form of intolerance known to humanity.

As an American, Mr. Robertson is at liberty to hold and promote any view of blacks and homosexuals that suits him. The marketplace is likewise free to support or abandon him and his television enterprise. Remember, the only real god in America is money.

Drinking fountain? Restroom? Cafes? Those things would not be seen or heard of in the Louisiana sticks back in the 50's and early 60's.
