The First Amendment is the first amendment for a reason. The Founders knew that for the People to be able to speak in favor or in criticism of the Government without reprisal is the cornerstone of our Freedoms.

However, apparently Senator Dianne Feinstein doesn’t think so. She wants Congress to be able to define just who can say things, who can criticize the Government.

The L.A. Times said Thursday that Feinstein insisted on limiting legal protection to "real reporters" and not a 17-year-old with his own website.
"I can't support it if everyone who has a blog has a special privilege … or if Edward Snowden were to sit down and write this stuff, he would have a privilege. I'm not going to go there," she said, according to the Times.
In other words… the words we write would not be covered under the Freedom of Speech. Our most basic right…removed.

Disagreement with Government and being able to put those words out there in the information age is key to our understanding of what is happening with our Government.

Even then we still find people who think Benghazi is a cast member of Jersey Shore and Fast and Furious is just a movie with Vin Diesel.

If Congress and those Progressives like Feinstein get their way there would be less speech.

Shouldn’t we have more speech? The free expression of ideas is one of the bedrocks that make America great.

Sadly we see this dangerous trend even here on these blogs… from people threatening others to attacking them simply for the words they write.

Remember the Tattle on your neighbor program? If you disagree with what they write you simply tattled on your neighbor to Whitehouse.gov.

Is this the America our Grandfathers died for? Is this the America the Founders envisioned, or is this more reminiscent of Stalin and the purges of free thinkers?

You decide.
