President Obama used a speech at Mexico’s Museo Nacional de Antropología – the National Anthropology Museum – to claim that ‘most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States.’
‘I think many of you know that in America, our Constitution guarantees our individual right to bear arms,’ Obama said. ‘And as president, I swore an oath to uphold that right, and I always will.’
‘But at the same time, as I’ve said in the United States, I will continue to do everything in my power to pass common-sense reforms that keep guns out of the hands of criminals and dangerous people.’"

Of course he failed to mention Fast and Furious that sent thousands of weapons into Mexico by his administration so......

Blame America First

obama loves to go to other countries so that he can tell their citizens what a rotten country America is.

What he failed to tell them was that none of his "common-sense" policies will keep guns out of the hands of criminals. They will only make law-abiding citizens less safe. He only calls them "common-sense" in order to try to demonize the right when they don't allow him to pass his dictatorial policies.

obama has no common sense.

Joe...

...got to agree; the leader that goes to other nations and bad-mouths our nation is no one I will follow, in ANY way. I am embarrassed to have him as our president.

Actually, Obama is merely stating facts

Whether one approves or disapproves of President Obama, in the quote above, he is merely stating accurate facts. American gunsmiths produce an abundance of reliable firearms that Mexicans acquire for use in both lawful and unlawful manners. Obama has stated on many occasions that he wants to reform American gun laws. In this quote, he is not blaming the United States for anything.

stf, I will...

...give you that one; it was a terse response to our POTUS's speech. I am still not a fan, though; he's embarrassed us enough on the international stage, IMHO.

Fast and Furious...

... Didn't send guns, but tracked guns. Try not to rewrite history.

2,000 guns out of an estimated quarter million per year (yeah thats a lot) is less than 8/10ths of one percent. It was a drop in the bucket and it was shut down by the DOJ under AG Holder due to inappropriate actions by ATF agents.

Not sure how a mention of FnF would alter the facts as stated by POTUS.

albion sorry you are incorrect...

...try to actually get your facts straight. That would be nice..

How were the guns tracked?

If they didn't "send" them then how did 2000+ guns end up in Mexico?

When was it shutdown? After it was revealed on in a book or before?

You see albion you really should get your facts together before you post.

A pretty good summation of the event.

So when did Holder know it and when did the President?
