In this week's episode of "That's Racist", we explore the new game that is sweeping black America - The Knockout Game!

College football stars and the Knockout Game

The rules for the Knockout Game are simple: First, start with a crowd of black people. Then, find a white person. Beat him until he is unconscious. Or until your arms and legs get tired. Repeat as desired. Some people keep score. Others yell “Knockout Game” and laugh.

'Knockout Games' a hit with black mobs

“There has been a rash of hate crimes against defenseless white males in Pittsburgh over the last 12 months. Several have been caught on video. No one in the media has had the guts to ask the democratic mayor and Pittsburgh police chief if the FBI should be called in. I guess they are waiting for someone to die.”

Someone should lose their job over this! And is there any way we could Deport the speaker? He clearly does not deserve to live in our space! To think that a US Citizen would lower themselves to speak such garbage for greed is disgusting! If the audience had any pistachios, they would have risen and evacuated enmasse---and there you have out Dept of Agriculture--how proud they must be to get such national exposure while they act like 3rd Graders!

Thank heavens for MLK

He taught 'Love'

From this message one hears gratitude for being an American and to treat all persons with respect. The Puritans didn't give 'papers' to the Native Americans. We have 'citizenship' problems in our country - and we should be supportive of ways to find solutions.
98% of Americans are working to live peacefully and respectfully with one another. Only our enemies would profit from seeing us divided based on skin color.

DM is just parroting the hate-filled, divisive speech that the obama regime preaches to the mindless minions that follow him blindly and without question.

USDA preaches Pilgrims were illegal aliens

Among the highlights of the video of the training seminar:
•“If you take a look at all of you here and you think about your salaries and your benefits and what you have left undone – plus my fee – plus the expense of the team that putting the video together, this is a huge expense.”
•“I want you to say that American was founded by outsiders – say that – who are today’s insiders, who are very nervous about today’s outsiders. I want you to say, ‘The pilgrims were illegal aliens.’ Say, ‘The pilgrims never gave their passports to the Indians.’”

Never mind that the country did not exist before our ancestors founded this great country. It matters not to the leftist haters that think it's o.k. to use taxpayer money to indoctrinate Federal employees into thinking that they should be ashamed of who they are.

These miscreants are just as bad as the teachers in government schools that abuse our children both emotionally and intellectually on a daily basis.

We live in very dangerous times for our Republic, Steve. The occupants of the White House are longer an administration, they are a dictatorial regime run by a narcistic, America-hating, meglomaniac (obama) that thinks that it is a problem that he is not emporor of the U.S.

Barack Obama: 'The Problem Is ... I’m Not the Emperor of the United States'

This 'president' is too busy playing golf to be bothered with things that really matter to America. He's too busy blaming Republicans for his out of control spending that they are trying to bring under control. He is the one that invented the sequester, threatened to veto any efforts to get rid of it back in 2011, (Obama Threatens Veto on Bid to Avoid Sequestration) and then is out there today blaming Republicans for the pending cuts. Notice, like most meglomaniac dictators such as Arafat and Hussein, Obama surrounds himselfs with kids or public servants in a sick circus of political exploitation designed to steal the fundamental rights of law-abiding citizens or take away the income of working Americans in order to 'spread the wealth'.

The lemmings standing behind obama don't even have the sense to realize that it is obama that is basically holding a gun to their head with his false choice of sequestration, or that they all lose their jobs. The fact of the matter is, is that the incompetent boob obama flat out refuses to negotiate. The republicans negotiated and agreed to tax increases to avoid the fical cliff, but that wasn't enough for this 'president' who would rather see people that support him lose their job than budge on spending cuts for his bridges to nowwhere. (Obama is yo' daddy)

obama is so inept and incompetent, but he knows that the mindless lemmings that follow him will give him a pass because they consider him their daddy. He thinks that he is above the law and doesn't like the fact that there are 3 co-equal branches of government. He wants to be dictator.

Meanwhile - Joe "Shemp" Biden is out there today telling women to buy shotguns. obama's judgement is so bad that he picked this numbskull to be vice-president of the U.S. God help us.

Biden: 'Buy a Shotgun! Buy a Shotgun!'

Joe - Please run for POTUS in 2016. You embody the ideals of the modern democrat. Oh please, please, please run. Run, Joe, Run!

Joe I really love Obama's Sequester comments

He said the consequences would be felt across the economy.

"People will lose their jobs," he said. "The unemployment rate might tick up again."

"So far at least, the ideas that the Republicans have proposed ask nothing of the wealthiest Americans or the biggest corporations," Obama said. "So the burden is all on the first responders, or seniors or middle class families."

"Changes like this — not well thought through, not phased in properly — changes like this effect our ability to respond to threats in unstable parts of the world," he said.

“It seems like every three months around here there’s some manufactured crisis,” Obama said. “We’ve got more work to do than to dig ourselves out of these self-inflicted wounds.”

IT was his idea..... looks like he better change that mop for a shovel and start digging...

More lies from the Liar-in-Chief, barrack hussein obama

Obama: 'The Truth Is, Our Deficits Are Already Shrinking'

Now, the truth is, our deficits are already shrinking.
Now, everyone with a brain (yes, that excludes you, DM) knows that that is an outright falsehood. Saying that you are only going to spend 98% of the money you intended to spend isn't a cut. That doesn't prevent this despicable a-hole 'president' from lying to his adoring left wing bedwetting minions. They'll believe anything he says.

When Obama became president, on Janaury 20, 2009, the debt was $10,626,877,048,913.08. The total outstanding public debt is now, according to the federal government, $16,798,051,589,934.68. Since Obama became president, debt has increased by more than $6 trillion.

Where are the cuts barry? You can't answer because there aren't any!!

There you go again! The Native Americans were not here? The Pilgrims may not have survived without the input on survival skills from those who welcomed them to the shores. But you learned history your way - no one was here to help the Pilgrims. NOT!

The 'white'guys wrote the Declaration of Independance and The Constitution - but there were 'others' here who ran the plantations; assisted with planning and building of the Capital (Benjamin Banneker-ARCHITECT) Our newer history books are informing us of them all! But you are doing a great job at denigrating Americans of color. Keep it up!

Hollywood link to current administration

After being completely nauseated from the MEchele interruption last night, I went online to see how the comments were about this woman who thinks she is a movie star/celebrity of her own making. There was a link to (of all places) the State Dept. Twitter account regarding the ARGO win.

Seems State Dept. wanted to bask in the glory of the ARGO story, so some govt. moron (probably John Kerry himself, since Ben Affleck is from Ma. and Kerry was the senator from Taxachusetts for years) tweeted bragging about the filming of the movie in the lobby of the State Dept. They included a photo, but guess what, the photo was missing, for hours. So, I checked back this morning to the their Twitter account, the photo is now there, noted as with the permission of Warner Bros. Seems the dope at our State Dept. who posted the photo originally never got permission from Warner to use the photo. Not only that, MEchelle has now been posting on the State Dept. twitter account about her nauseating appearance last night. Just an fyi, seems even good old ex-pres. Jimmy Carter came out last week and stated he doesn't have a clue why the State Dept. is being glorified in this operation, as it was strictly the brainchild of the former Canadian ambassador, Ken Taylor, to hide those US citizens.

This is what our federal government is doing, tweeting about movie award shows. Such leadership, again coming from Barry and his new appointee, Kerry. Think any national media will call them out on it? Heck, they wouldn't even call them out on Benghazi.

Memo to MEchelle: ditch the trashy fake eyelashes, eyeliner and the ugly chemically processed hair and bangs in your eyes. You look like some cheap street chick now, and your public displays of shaking your fat rump are so offensive to the public, you are a disgrace. You weren't elected to anything, you are not a movie star, and you have no talent. Seems you ought to be keeping an eye on your old man, as he is hanging with that trashy cheater Tiger Woods now.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. The electorate that you are so articulately denigrating for their participation on twitter is the portion of the electorate that the Republicans are losing. Just for clarification again; The First Lady was in Washington, not Hollywood; one of the hottest selling items on the globe is padded underwear (to enhance the female derrière) ; the Hollywood Republican made his support known by 'talking to the chair'; ( and that really got mixed reviews - and not the necessary votes to win). After Congressional inaction causes more Americans to lose jobs, both Democrats and Republicans
will be in trouble for not doing the job they were elected to do!

Michelle Obama is a whore for Hollywood. She's a wanna-be that never was. Did you notice in her pathetic attempt at stardom that she never mentioned or gave thanks to the brave men and women of the armed forces, even though they were lined up behind her. All she could muster up was gratitude to people that make stuff up and then put it on film. Much like her inept, idiotic, racist, divisive America-hating husband.

What is it about "I joined this group to discuss race relations - that is beyond your comprehension?. From civil, secure persons, I have been enlightened as to the reasons for their beliefs. . . and I learned a lot. From you and your buddies, I have learned that there are still some insecure persons in this world with closed minds and a need to 'look' intelligent. As I have said before, living in Fayette County these past 10 years has been a great experience. I was here in 1952. My son was here in 1981. There has been great change - and many citizens who have shared the history of this county are rightfully proud of the progress. You don't get it. No one wants to look past skin color - we all should be proud of who we are and proud of our ancestors and what they contributed to this country. We're sick and tired of the ignorance and the refusal to accept progress and a desire to return to 'white is right' era of Jim Crow practices. That's it in a nutshell MOC. - no more time wasted on you! LOL

What is it about "race relations doesn't belong in every single discussion" that is beyond your comprehension? This isn't the first time that you have accused me of being insecure, closed minded or even racist. Same result this time. Who cares coming from a race baiter? I've been in Georgia my entire life and in Fayette County since 1979. Just thought I'd give you my biography since you did. This also isn't the first time you claimed you'd waste no more time on me. Try sticking to it this time.

Finally, just the fact that you are sick and tired is good enough for me. LOL at you....

One question. What do you check when asked 'race'? Why? My grandson and many of America's youth write in 'human'. Are you secure enough to do that? Why shouldn't I wear a badge of honor and respect for my 'race'? What I have shared here has not made too many people feel 'guilty' or beleaguered. Many are just sick and tired of the meanness that is used to express ones 'pride' in being whoever or whatever they are. MLK taught us that meanness and violence is not necessary to express 'pride'. Unfortunately, your ''speak' is tied to a political party - that is losing 'power' with the current American voter. Most would want to classify you as an Independent. . . .and an ignorant one. We're going to go through this again - as Alabama is challenging the Voting Rights Act. (Gerreymandering to keep blacks out of elected leadership positions) Slavery is not the current concern for those of us who are living - but the hold over of some Jim Crow practices and attitudes. I can honestly say that I have personally met very few people in my life with those attitudes- until I came to Fayette County. An attitude does not keep me from voting, eating with friends in a restaurant, etc. - so I am enjoying the progress that has been made in my lifetime. In current schools, children are being taught the contribution of all Americans - who may be labeled Native American, Asian American, African American, European American - etc., etc, etc. I was raised in a multicultural society where we celebrated the ethnic traditions of everyone in the community - as is done here. The fear of losing a 'white superiority' status is not seen in too many people today - but those who have this fear express themselves in a mean and ignorant way - not only here - but throughout the country. There are David Moms throughout the country who are engaging your type so that we all realize that we cannot allow our children to carry on the remnants of racism that some would like to perpetuate. There are still those in Fayette County who are fearful of expressing their opinions about meanness and ignorance regarding racism. You are so right - I too have suffered from the American malady of judging one by the color of their skin (and their accent). I was carefully taught to be fearful of southern white men in particular. It is wrong to call only 'whites' racist in attitude. I learned during the CIvil Rights movement that there were many, many wonderful white southerners who were not MEAN. May God continue to bless them. Many here have explained their experiences and why they hold their opinions of those different than themselves - but they also treat others with respect and obey the law. By the way Lindsey - we share a pretty common heritage. My great, great grandfather was a never a 'slave' - but his son was sold into slavery. My other relatives were proud of their Indian heritage and their Scotch Irish heritage. I have always identified as 'colored', Negro, Black, and African American - since this was/is the custom in the country when asked about 'race'. Again, what do you check?

Dr. Martin Luther King said;

Quote:

"I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

The Kings raised four children who are/were extremely proud of their skin color - and wanted no one to 'look past it'!

The King children - and all children should be judged by the CONTENT OF THEIR CHARACTER AND NOT THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN. When one feels that the only thing they have 'going for them' is their skin color - they have a character and self-esteem problem. I'm not an idiot and neither was Dr. King. Thank you for your contributions, they have been shared.

Did you also see this in the Washington Times? The new Secretary of State defends the right of Americans "to be stupid".

Then another gem of the use of the English language in foreign diplomacy "In America...you have a right to be disconnected to somebody else if you want to be."

Finally, he flubs the names of countries Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, saying Kyrzakhstan.

All this spoken to German students in Berlin.

The best part? He's only just begun. He now spreads this dumbing down of our country overseas as he goes on to Paris, Rome, Ankara, Cairo, Abu Dhabi, and Doha.

I think the students got the point. You see, we all have the right to be stupid in public because of the unique American tradition of 'free speech'. The Klan and The Panthers have the right to express their views publicly - and display their ignorance. The wonderful thing about the 'arts' is that the 'people' in different countries relate more to those in entertainment than to 'politicians'. Hence, despite our abhorrence of 'royalty' - we loved The Beatles. Get it?

"Many who supported Bush cringed when he announced in Spain that he didn't speak 'Mexican'."

Perfect illustrations of a couple of points. First is the validity of the "sources" and "research" that she always refers to. Second, notice the ease and conviction of the lies? "Many who supported Bush cringed....." as if there was true recollection of the event and actual knowledge of a Bush supporter who cringed.

Reminiscent of the blonde girl on the State Farm commercial. "They can't put something on the Internet if it isn't true....."

I too cannot find it - only references to President Bush's poor attempt at speaking Spanish. Garvin may be right - but I will continue to search my sources. Persons throughout the country are grateful for media owners like Cal Beverly who allow persons to exercise this 'right' of free speech. Other newspapers in our community and other communities are not so 'generous'. In 1981, I doubt I would have had this opportunity to express my opinion on 'race' in a paper that served a predominantly 'white' community. Today, MOST PEOPLE are far more secure in who they are - and are not afraid to listen to different opinions.

Military and FLOTUS - a question

I'm wondering why the military was there at all. Could it be that the Academy knew a quasi-military type film was going to win and they leaked that to the White House? And then the backdrop of soldiers was assembled? That would make Michelle the only presenter who knew the winner ahead of time. Isn't that inappropriate or a breach of the rules? No, you say? Ok. what if Laura Bush for some reason lost her mind and decided to crash the Oscars and do the same thing? Hmmmm. Think the press coverage would be the same?

Maybe it was completely innocent and a coincidence. All those Army officers just happened to be at the White House for Sunday dinner. She probably invites different military officers over every weekend because she has such high respect for them.

WASHINGTON, DC – (KSWT News 13) - President Obama spoke to U.S. governors in the nation's capital. Arizona governor Jan Brewer was there.
"When he first began his speech he said, we're all there to work together and we could talk about anything from immigration to education," Brewer said after the meeting.
But there was no discussion of immigration. Brewer said the president didn't bring it up and neither did she, adding the president was aware of her position on illegal immigration and proposed immigration reform.
What they did talk about was sequestration: hundreds of billions of dollars in automatic spending cuts set to go into effect on Friday.
President Obama asked the governors to make the short trip to Capitol Hill to ask their state representatives to work together for a compromise. Brewer understood the president's request.
"I know as a leader, you want all the help you can get," said Brewer.
But Brewer did not go to Capitol Hill.
"I think it's probably asking a little bit much," explained Brewer, a republican.
President Obama wants to increase taxes to help fill the budget gap, but republicans want to cut spending instead.
Governor Brewer says the responsibility for a fiscal solution falls upon the president.
"The deal was done and he made the deal, and now he should do his job and get us out of this mess," said Brewer.
The uncertainty of federal funding has state budgets hanging in limbo, but Brewer says that's not her main concern.
"I'm more concerned about the cuts it gives to the economy, a loss of jobs in Arizona, because we work so hard and we know that businesses like Raytheon the defense arm that we have in Arizona will take substantial hits."
Brewer is expected to return to Arizona tomorrow. President Obama will be at a Virginia shipyard trying to rally public support.

"See THE AMERICAN DREAM"

Trying to drum up a little business here for another one of your blogs nobody responds to (except you)??? I saw a few days ago where you said "I don't care if nobody responds, I'm going to keep sharing my opinion". Well, guess what? You do care or you wouldn't have written that. You give yourself away so easily.....

I dialogue with many people here - there were over 6000 readers who 'viewed' my comments. Doesn't matter if they disagree or agree - I have the 'right' to express my opinion just as you have the 'right' to express yours. When anyone takes the time to express themselves, of course they care - don't you? Aren't you tired of the 'gotcha' game? Our country is in crisis. In other areas of our country, one does not find the resistance to a different point of view as SOME express here. Anyway - it's just a few. To those who do read - most of the citizens in Fayette County are GREAT!!

Specifically, where in other parts of the country does one not find resistance to other points of view? Name one city and provide specific examples where there is no resistance to different points of view.

I don't really expect you to. You were just lying again, DM. Because that's what liars do.

BTW, 'dialogue' is a noun, not a verb. idiot.

For your edification:

Today, dialogue is used in classrooms, community centers, corporations, federal agencies, and other settings to enable people, usually in small groups, to share their perspectives and experiences about difficult issues. It is used to help people resolve long-standing conflicts and to build deeper understanding of contentious issues. Dialogue is not about judging, weighing, or making decisions, but about understanding and learning. Dialogue dispels stereotypes, builds trust, and enables people to be open to perspectives that are very different from their own.
In the past two decades, a rapidly-growing movement for dialogue has been developing. The website of the National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation,[8] serves as a hub for dialogue (and deliberation) facilitators, conveners, and trainers and houses thousands of resources on these communication methodologies<.cite>.

His only failure is that he could not stop the obstructive behavior of a party that is out of touch with the 21st century citizenry of the UNITED STATES. The Republicans tried to use their connection to the Hollywood elite - but his act of talking to the empty chair lost votes. Clint's movies are great! Hopefully they won't blame their Grandmother, sitting in a comfortable retirement, who was happy to support the ignoring of Social Security restructuring and Medicaid/care reform, and applauded the $6+ trillion added to an already skyrocketing $16 trillion debt by giving everyone free health care on the Gov'ts dime. The only ones 'out of touch' - or more to the point 'ignorant', 'short-sighted', and 'self-serving' - are the spoiled, entitled 'me generation'. Thank God we live in a country (for now) where he couldn't just command them to stand down...as much as he'd like to have that power.

Balanced approach: see Presidents Plan which includes restructuring Social Seciruty and Medicare Reform. AND additional revenue to maintain the progress that we are slowly making now. Leaders who care and students of the future will see that the inability of Congress to do its job was hurtful to the Middle Class! This Congress has ignored the Conference Committee- where two sides work together to present a 'bill' that will pass both houses. Economists - not lackeys of either 'party' have shared that in order to maintain the little progress that has been made in the last four years, there is still a need for additional revenue. There are elected representatives from both parties who feel .the pledge they signed for a private citizen is more binding than the oath they took when accepting the office they took to represent the American people.

My children and grandchildren and their generation have already felt the pain of Republican leadership. The Bush years were not beneficial . The first four years of Obama has not been 'easy'. The youth have already expressed themselves at the voting booth.. History will validate that a women of my age was hardly spoiled in the quest for fulfilling the American Dream.

DM - Revenue Source

Here's an overlooked revenue source to reduce the national debt. The US Government owns over one third of the land mass of our nation. The government should sell most if not all this land to private interests, including national parks. This one time sale should be used to pay down the national debt. This should happen after the repeal of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution.

The Congress of 1909 had power. This Congress is a sham. There are a few more things to accomplish before we figure out how to maintain our country without federal revenue. National Debt Analysis Discussion
January 3, 2013

America has a serious National Debt problem. The objective of this analysis is to show how our National Debt is affected by variations in national revenue, spending and debt interest rate.

The debt we are concerned with is the Debt Held by the Public, which includes all federal debt held by individuals, corporations, state or local governments, foreign governments, and other entities outside the United States Government less Federal Financing Bank securities. Types of securities held by the public include, but are not limited to, Treasury Bills, Notes, Bonds, TIPS, United States Savings Bonds, and State and Local Government Series securities.

The total or Gross National Debt (currently about $16.3 trillion) is the above Debt Held by the Public ($11.6 trillion) plus the debt held by government accounts ($4.7 trillion).

The latter debt held by government accounts is intragovernmental debt that does not affect national spending or the national deficit. It includes non-marketable Treasury securities held in accounts administered by the federal government that are owed to program beneficiaries, such as the Social Security Trust Fund. Debt held by government accounts represents the cumulative surpluses, including interest earnings, of these accounts that have been invested in Treasury securities.

Budget information for previous years is included in the following table:
Spending Spending
Debt Held Debt Average Debt Including Excluding
Fiscal Revenue by the Public Interest Interest Rate Debt Interest Debt Interest Deficit
Year (Billions) (Billions) (Billions) (%) (Billions) (Billions) (Billions)

2010 2162.723 9022.808 196.194 2.174 3456.213 3260.019 1293.490
2011 2303.471 10322.398 229.968 2.228 3603.061 3373.093 1299.590
2012 2449.000 11411.398 258.000 2.261 3538.000 3280.000 1089.000

Red http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/federal_budget_estimate_vs_actual_20...
Pink http://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/BPDLogin?application=np

The remaining entries in black are calculated. The deficit is spending (including debt interest) minus revenue. Debt for a given year is deficit plus the debt for the previous year.

The underlined values for FY2012 are the starting values for variations.

Based on the above table, revenue increased 6.51% in FY2011 and 6.32% during FY2012. As shown in Figure 1 of the Word file, National Debt Analysis Charts, the 10-year running average for revenue growth has been declining for three decades and falls between 5% and 7% for FY1990 through FY2002. Based on this information, average revenue increases are selected to be 5%, 6%, and 7% for this analysis. Note that the 16.6% drop in revenue during FY2009 was caused by our poor economy and job losses.

Spending Excluding Debt Interest increased 3.47% in FY2011 and decreased 2.76% in FY2012. Average increases in spending are selected to be 2%, 3%, 4% and 5% (analysis variations). These variations are applied to Spending Excluding Debt Interest. Spending increments (billions) for these variations are shown in Figure 2, which is based on 6% average increase in revenue after FY2012 and 4.5% average debt interest rate after FY2018.

Estimated spending data for the Affordable Care Act (ACA or Obamacare) is provided in Figure 3 and must be added to spending (excluding debt interest) after applying the spending increase. ACA spending is assumed to grow 3% per year after FY2022.

The average debt interest rate is currently 2.26%. The Federal Reserve says it will maintain low interest rates as long as the unemployment rate remains above 6.5%. Interest rates will probably increase as unemployment rate drops lower. A reasonable range for debt interest rate over the long haul is 4% to 5%. Three cases of debt interest are selected for analysis variations (see Figure 4): (1) 3% after FY2014, (2) 4.5% after FY2018 and (3) 6% after FY2019. Transition values for interest rate are included between FY2012 and the first year of each case.

The effect on deficit by varying spending, revenue or debt interest rate is shown in Figures 5, 6 and 7, respectively.

The effect of combined revenue and spending variations is shown in Figures 8, 9, and 10 for deficit (billions),
debt (billions), and debt interest (percent of revenue), respectively. Results are also shown for the exclusion of the ACA.

The most usable figures are Figures 11 through 16. Based on each specified revenue increase and debt interest rate, the spending increase shown has been determined such that: (1) the budget balances at FY2026 (red), (2) the budget balances at FY2040 (green), and (3) the deficit continues to grow until FY2040 (blue), after which deficit declines. Figures 11 through 13 show the resulting spending increase versus debt interest rate (3%, 4.5%, and 6%), and Figures 14 through 16 show the associated debt increase as a percentage of revenue. Each of three six Figures is based on a revenue increase of 5%, 6%, or 7%.

Scenarios for the budget problem are as follows:

Average
Year that Average Average Debt Debt Held
Budget Spending Revenue Interest By The Debt Debt
Balances Increase Increase Rate Public Interest Interest
(FY) (%) (%) (%) (Trillions) (Billions) (% of Rev) Comments

• Good: 2026 1.81 6 4.5 23.0 1035 18.7 1.81% may be optimistic.

• Good: 2026 3 7 4.5 23.7 1069 16.9 A 7% average is not likely.
• Bad: 2040 2.76 5 4.5 47.8 2151 22.4 Budget balances in 28 years. High debt interest (billions).

• Bad: 2040 3.96 6 4.5 52.5 2361 18.9 Budget balances in 28 years. High debt interest (billions).
• Ugly: See note. 3.6 5 4.5 78.0 3510 36.6 No deficit reduction.

• Ugliest: See note. 3.1 5 6 85.4 5124 53.4 A 6% average interest rate
would be disastrous.
Note: Deficit grows until FY2040 and then declines.

The most promising scenario is a 1.81% average spending increase, a 6% average revenue increase and a 4.5% average debt interest rate. The deficit would balance in FY2026 where the revenue and total spending would each be about $5536 billion. Debt Held By The Public would stop growing at $23 trillion in FY2026 where debt interest would be $1035. At this point, the government would not have to borrow to balance the budget.

If the same scenario was continued and the budget was balanced every year (no borrowing), then good things would happen by FY2035. The government would use surpluses to retire the debt (especially to foreign countries). The debt and debt interest would return to current levels. Debt interest as a percentage of revenue would drop from 18.7 % to about 3%.

If the spending increase for this scenario is 2.75%, then the budget balances in FY2030, debt is higher, and it takes until FY2040 to return to current levels.

The question is what level of spending increase can be maintained for at least a decade?

Actual agency spending (billions) during FY2011 was as follows: (Agency code is in parenthesis)

Medicaid &
Total Defense (050) Soc Sec (650) Medicare (570) Other Health (550) Welfare (600) Debt Interest Others
3603.1 878.5 775.6 485.7 372.5 472.9 230.0 387.9

In addition, ACA spending must also be considered. It grows to $256 billion by FY2022.

Defense accounts for 24.4% of total spending during FY2011. The underlined Entitlement Programs account for 58.5%. Other agencies account for only 10.8%.

It’s obvious that we cannot hold spending increases to an acceptable level unless all agencies are considered for deficit reduction, including Entitlement Programs. Until the President and leaders of the House and Senate explain the debt problem to the people and take action, our problem will grow worse and become unsolvable.

I apparently am unable to post the charts to support this analysis, but they are simply graphs expanded out over time using the above information. Even more simply put, we cannot afford our current expenditures. I have not read the POTUS's plan, but trust it is not acceptable to abate this tide of spending; that's why I voted for whom I did. I will look at it, though; thank you.

All of us who are concerned about our current condition have read everything we can get our hands on!! It is obvious that we are in debt. It is obvious that we have an employment problem. What is sadly obvious is that there are citizens/legislators who only listen to one side of possible solutions - and refuse to work together to achieve a solution that will help solve the debt problem without sending this country into a devastating 'austerity' situation which has caused some European countries more problems than necessary. When we have citizens/Congressmen who refuse to work together towards a solution - we will have a more difficult time getting out of this mess. It always puzzles me that persons feel comfortable admitting that they haven't investigated all of the angles to a situation. How an intelligent person can be proud of that is just astounding. Maybe you may see some areas of cooperation that can be implemented that could help the American people. I have not heard any responsible politician that is against taking the fraud and waste out of the 'entitlement programs'. I have not heard any responsible politician that is willing to put our country at risk by unwise downsizing of our military. I have seen very little from both parties in cooperating on the areas that they agree on. I, and the majority of the country could not vote for a person who feels comfortable in denigrating 47% of our citizens. Thanks for taking the time to 'look at the 'Presidents program'.

Hi KC

You might want to take a look at this chart and analysis: You're absolutely right - we didn't get here overnight or over one administration. My concern is that we are in such a divided state of 'politics' now - that our current Congress does not have the 'balls' to meet together and work out solutions to our many problems.

Anyway - I though you might find this graph interesting.

http://zfacts.com/p/318.html

My grandchildren are going to have to use their education to get a good job or start a successful business - and pay a large part of their annual salary to the 'government' possibly. . .if this Congress continues in their political stalemate.

Quote:

What matters is how big your debt is compared with your income. A 12-year old with a $1000 debt is in deep trouble, but a 30-year old with a $200,000 mortgage and a $600,000 a year job is in no trouble at all. When Reagan said the 1981 debt was "out of control" at 31% of GDP, it was like saying someone with a $200k mortgage making $600,000 a year has an out-of-control debt. It was just plain nuts. Yet the press never figured this out, so he got away with it.
In reality, Reagan started with the lowest debt (compared to our ability to pay) at any time in the last 50 years. And even in 1946, when the debt was at 121% of GDP, the country was in no trouble at all.

The pain that my grandchildren carry on their financial shoulder depends on their income - just like our country's pain. There is a way to gain revenue to balance the spending that is essential to keeping our country viable in the world market. Revenue = 'tax'. That is a reality now that we owe more than we produce through the market. We've sent our money making business overseas; lost jobs for Americans; - all in the name of not raising taxes? Our corporation 'heads' are getting bonuses!! Oh well - have a nice day. I'm sure you'll enlighten me with another point of view. Thanks.

obama is responsible for the fiscal mess we are in.

Your grandchildren can thank obama for their burden of the tax bill that obama has put on this country. He has increased spending, the number of people on welfare and foodstamps, but what he hasn't done is improve the financial state of our great company. He only knows how to tax and spend - he is not a leader but just another big spending politician that has no business being in power.

Quote:

It’s the $9 billion in new tax revenue by setting limits on “tax-preferred retirement accounts for millionaires and billionaires” that Boehner is rejecting.

In these hard times, please explain to me what is so sacred about setting limits on 'tax-preferred retirement accounts' for millionaires and billionaires. Maybe if they (millionaires and billionaires) volunteered to observe these limits it might be more palatable to Boehner. Is there a lobby for the millionaires and billionaires in our country demanding that there be no limit on their tax-preferred retirement accounts?

It's this type of PR that enlarges the Independent vote in our country. The concern for the 'retirement accounts for millionaires and billionaires doesn't sit well with over 50% of our citizens. Thanks.

Interesting thought. But what is more important? Lowering our debt/additional revenue - or charitable giving at this time? I don't know about millionaires and billionaires, but most 'ordinary' people don't give depending on the funds that are in their retirement account. You may be right - it may be different for the millionaire/billionaire crowd. Thanks for sharing.

This is just in!!

The president’s budget proposal also would require middle-class seniors—people who make $47,000 a year and more—to pay higher Medicare premiums.
It is unconscionable to ask seniors, people with disabilities and veterans who are barely making it to be squeezed even tighter at a time when corporations and the wealthiest 2% are not paying their fair share of taxes, despite soaring profits

And Boehner is holding out because of the tax limit on retirement accounts for millionaires and billionaires? This is crazy. I’m sure someone here can make sense of this. The American people must realize that someone is going to have to sacrifice to get us out of this mess. (But no one is willing to compromise) Sad. You can’t have a balanced budget without revenue. You cannot run a country without ‘spending’.

Where to now?

Cut the size of government spending in half, not the increase in spending, but actual spending......in half.

Medicare? Cut it
All entitlements? Cut them
Congressional budget? Cut it

Cut the entire government by 50%.

That's where we go, now or in the future but it must happen to save the nation. Keep taxes right where they are now....high.

Let's get off the government cocaine.

Obama got his revenue

Republicans in congress compromised and obumbles got his revenue.

Now he has his hand out again like a typical low-class moocher.

Please share where they compromised - and what revenue was added to the 'budget' in the Republican Budget.
(Other than the possible cutting of 50% of all government programs and employees - as suggested by PTCO) Thanks

"Factualize" it?

You mean "factualize" it, don't you? I don't have to - you said so yourself.

We don't have to 'factualize' anything here as long as we believe it happened.

Your words.

Joe K -skuze me for interrupting

but po' MEchelle Obama is a "busy single mother" (her words) she said to CNN affiliate WCAX in Burlington, Vt. Oh, but not really single. Just feels that way to the whiny woman who has her mother living with her, taking care of her daughters, traveling everywhere with them.

Let's not forget how overworked she is with a staff at her beck and call, Secret Service keeping her safe every moment, chefs cooking her meals, housekeepers doing the housework, fashion designers throwing free clothes at her for every event, makeup and hair stylists (ahem) coming to her to make her look pretty, never has to drive anywhere, never has to pack anything, etc., etc.

She just had NO energy while oh so left alone in Chicago, no time to shop or cook, had the awful burden of driving the kids to practice and on and on and on. Oh woe is MEchelle.

How many wives of presidents have EVER slipped that they are a busy SINGLE mother? How many wives of presidents have EVER whined about their poor, miserable life before the WH years? What a role model, what a shining example of positivity. Whah, whah, whahhhhhh.
