Burglars hit F’ville pharmacy Jan. 21

An undetermined amount of medication was stolen from a pharmacy on North Glynn Street in Fayetteville in an early morning break-in on Jan. 21.

Fayetteville Police Det. Mike Whitlow said officers received an alarm call for Jones Pharmacy on Jan. 21 at approximately 4:45 a.m. Officers responding to the scene found the window in the drive-thru area broken out, Whitlow said.

The department’s K-9 unit was called to the scene, Whitlow said, adding that the dog led officers to a nearby parking lot where a car was apparently waiting.

A subsequent check of the pharmacy revealed that an undetermined quantity of various medications had been stolen, said Whitlow.

Whitlow said evidence collected at the scene is being processed.

Anyone with information pertaining to this crime is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441.

I am a soccer referee and each week I am on a soccer field almost every day. I hate seeing young men and women, sometimes as young as 12 or 13, with knee braces, casts, or on crutches.
