Oh, Jeff

There you go again -

This nomination is a blatant bribe by Obama. He just doesn't care anymore because he knows that his media lapdogs won't report on it.

The Obama administration has been nothing but a long string of lies and bribes. American's don't want his brand of reform but he doesn't care.
He only cares about power for the government, and more government control over our lives.

The Matheson Brothers

Rep Jim Matheson is a real Blue Dog Democrat. I think he will still vote "nay". Let's say he does that and Scott's nomination is rescinded---just what kind of message would that send? Can't see that happening.

Oh c'mon Joe

Read the link you posted about Matheson. He's possibly one of the three most qualified people in the country for the Court of Appeals. The Justice Department has been vetting him for months before the health care vote. What do you expect? That Obama suddenly is not going to appoint him because the right-wing that hates him anyway would try to smear him with a bribery accusation? If he had done that, you'd've posted a story about what a coward he was, afraid to appoint the most qualified person because he couldn't take the criticism.

Wake up and smell the stench of the Obama Administration. The Chicago-mob style politics that he has brought to Washington stinks like a wh*re house at low tide. We already have the bribes to Unions as a precedent.
What other candidates were being "vetted", and why were they not chosed, hmmm? Kinda strange how Matheson went from being against the Presidents plan to socialize medicine to suddenly being "undecided" about it. But you just continue on believing all of that hopey-changey garbage if it helps you sleep at night.

Georgia needs longer school days!

What other candidates were being "vetted", and why were they not chosed, hmmm?

. . and this is why!! Education should be a priority in this country!! We need an educated populace to maintain our place in the global economy. Joe, we all make mistakes - but youngsters do read this sometimes - and you are a role model to some. Please take the time to re-read your contributions. I know you know correct use of english verbs. Thanks.

Obama Administration Land Grab

White House land grab- Proposal to seize land would favor animals over Americans

You'd think the Obama administration is busy enough controlling the banks, insurance companies and automakers, but thanks to whistleblowers at the Department of the Interior, we now learn they're planning to increase their control over energy-rich land in the West.

A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico, halting job- creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. Worse, this land grab would dry up tax revenue that's essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers.

This administration is the most power hungry, corrupt, and lying bunch in recent history. They would rather people be poor and jobless than curb their quest for more and more power. Folks, this is a turning point in history. We have to stop the Obama administration from destroying our great country piece by piece.

Joe it's no surprise

that the Federal land grab is occurring.. Look at where the Fed owns the most land and compare it to our Natural resources.. Fits perfectly.. They are locking up all of our Oil and Natural Gas reserves and making them off limits.

Why.. You control the energy you control the people.

Pelosi on "health care" bill

Pelosi: we have to pass the health care bill so that you can find out what is in it.

Yup - she actually had the audacity to say that. She's the second most dangerous person in the country.

Medicare’s Refusal of Medical Claims Outpaces Private Insurance

Medicare’s Refusal of Medical Claims Continues to Outpace Private Rate

According to the American Medical Association’s National Health Insurer Report Card for 2008, the government’s health plan, Medicare, denied medical claims at nearly double the average for private insurers: Medicare denied 6.85% of claims. The highest private insurance denier was Aetna @ 6.8%, followed by Anthem Blue Cross @ 3.44, with an average denial rate of medical claims by private insurers of 3.88%

In its 2009 National Health Insurer Report Card, the AMA reports that Medicare denied only 4% of claims—a big improvement, but outpaced better still by the private insurers. The prior year’s high private denier, Aetna, reduced denials to 1.81%—an astounding 75% improvement—with similar declines by all other private insurers, to average only 2.79%.

Folks - Joe Kawfi's comments

Do your own research. Check the facts for yourself. As a Medicare recipient and having a parent who is a Medicare recipient - we have not had a claim denied by Medicare. Check with Medicare family members. Hopefully they are in such good health, that they really haven't had to make a claim. Good preventive programs will cause the older generation to have less need for medical assistance. What a novel idea!

Please Lindsey

When you're 65, don't sign up for Medicare. You're a wealthy man - and you can pay your own hospital/doctor visit expenses! (And that will leave more money for the rest of us!) Hopefully, we all will take better care of ourselves, and not need much medical attention in our later years. Come on guys - use spell check. We all need that help. (denier)

Wrong Bill at the Wrong Time

Great Article ...

Wrong Bill At The Wrong Time

A sensible president would of course step in and provide some adult supervision to a wayward party hell-bent on jumping off this cliff. But the problem is that President Obama believes in his own messianism too deeply for that. His goal is not to remake his party as it could be but "remake this world as it should be." In his book Dreams From My Father Obama gives the distinct impression that his gifts are too great for the smallness of our political stage. He regrets not having been born during the civil rights era when the grandness of the cause would have measured up to the grandness of his ambition. He is in search of something big that will allow him to make his mark on the world as Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King did. Hence, the defeat of ObamaCare would not just be par for the course in the rough-and-tumble world of politics for him. It would be sign of his ordinariness, his mortality, and that, to him, is unendurable.
