Jimmy Carter is the Poster Boy of Progrssive failure; a clueless has-been that screwed up the economy and America's standing in the world so bad that America tossed him out on his ear after 1 term.

Then the libs trotted out the drunk, womanizing, coward Ted "Chappaquiddick" Kennedy. Teddy (Lyin' of the Senate) was such a coward that he left a young woman to die in a river after gettng drunk and driving his car off a bridge. He was never held accountable for his actions - the trademark of all libs.

Tonight they trotted out the trollup Fluke, who's claim to fame was to demand contraceptives from taxpayers at the point of a gun because she is such a slut that she can't afford them.

And for tonight's key note speaker, the only person they could find to give it was a womanizing, lying, cheating, sexual deviant that was impeached by congress and lost his liscense to practice law because he attempted to deny a woman her day in court.

This is what the Democrat party is represented by: Failures, Drunk Cowards, Strumpets, and Sexual Deviants.

Yes Gort, Always

I'm very proud of him.

As to the conventions, they may have actually swayed the election. The Rs put on a convention where Clint overshadowed Mitt's mediocre speech and the wunderkind has been turned into Lyin' Ryan. There was nothing there except the lies that they have been forced to explain ever since, which is why they got such a small bounce.

Michelle Obama was a smash and Bill Clinton just gave the best speech of his life. I suspect the convention will already trump the Rs bounce and we haven't even heard from Obama yet.

Terrific stuff!

JeffC, last night was another

JeffC, last night was another good night for the DNC and I hope tonight is even better. Too bad the weather wouldn’t cooperate for the outdoor event at Bank of America Stadium.

The big worry now is finding enough ballons to drop at the end of the convention. I don’t know where to find that many ballons but they could sure fill them with all the ‘hot air’ that come out of the Republican convention! 8 - )

Same political pablum...

...that's been shoved down our throats for years. Anyone who get excited about either of these circuses might as well shoot up if they want to live in la-la land. Results and action, or the lack of, are the only real thing to cast votes for.

How about Sandra Fluke's speech?

That was just awful. What a half-wit this career college student is. You would think after 10 years in college and in an Ivy League school she would have learned something else(like public speaking for example) besides whining about how the govt should pay for birth control or some imagined "war on women." I understand these speeches are solely for firing up the base, but really?

Yep, Dem heroes Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy....the "Party for Women!"

I enjoyed the fiasco with amending the Dem platform to include "God" and the "Jerusalem" issues and how the crowd sure sounded 50/50 every time but the chair said "the amendment passes by 2/3rds!" LOL.

Well, NUK...

...like a car wreck on I-285, I didn't rubber neck and drove on. I can't imagine wanting to waste my time watching this person...or really any others @ the DNC. I suppose if I wanted to sleep around on my wife, I could watch Clinton to see if he gave up any tips...

If you expected Clinton to

If you expected Clinton to give you tips on picking up women you would have been disappointed. Actually he reminded the DNC how important it is to get the deficit under control, the real threat to the middle class from Mitt Romney, and how important it is to re-elect President Obama.

If you want lessons on cheating on your wife, try Newt Getrich or Herman, (you want the job don’t ya) Cain!

Nuk_1, President Obama put

Nuk_1, President Obama put God and Jerusalem into the Democratic Platform. What a refreshing difference compared to Gov Romney just running away from the Republican Party’s platform.

What do you expect, Gov Romney’s didn’t win the Republican primary, it was bought for him by pinstriped banksters, international gambling tycoons, and Texas oil boilers!

I don’t think Sandra Fluke was talking to you or me for that matter, but compared to Clint Eastwood’s RNC performance she looked pretty darn good.

Peggy Noonan was there. You might learn something - read

She's on Drudge today - so you don't have to fret over how to set up a subscription to the WSJ.

Seriously - read her. She knows a bit more than most on here about good speeches and the political process and she even commented on your savior Obama putting God back into the platform and she helps explain the empty head that is Sandra Fluke's. Good summary by a great writer.

And the inescapable conclusion that those in charge of politics just aren't very good at politics.

RWM, I don’t work for the Rupert Murdock

Media Empire so I’m free to form my own opinion. Peggy Noonan is entitled to hers.

“,…stale and empty, he’s out of juice?” Peggy Noonan must have missed Romney/Ryan and the entire Republican National Convention.

I’ll tell you what’s running out of “juice”!

Just take a few more tax cuts, roll back some regulations, and call me in the morning, solution to everything by the do nothing Republican Party.

RWM - Noonan missed the point

Fluke is part of one specific and targeted campaign Obama is running aimed at widening the gender gap. He also has campaigns targeted at students, auto workers, Hispanics, etc. This is a very effective strategy. They're pretty good at politics.

Yes Jeff, Obama does seem to be pretty good at politics. Too bad he is not very good at presiding.....you know, what presidents are supposed to do. And, that is putting it nicely.

Romney

There are moments when a candidate can rise to the occasion and demonstrate that he has the character and leadership abilities to be President.

Today Romney had that moment and failed terribly. He did not lead but listened to the worst of his neo-con advisors and turned a national tragedy into a political opportunity. Romney looked pathetic and desperate and will pay the price in November.

President Obama responded to the crisis as a President should. Americans recognized this and will reward him in November.

Obama is a Coward

Lion,

The terrorists and radical Muslims in the Middle East are laughing at the weakness this administration has shown. Obama is weak and Biden is his wind up monkey.

Obama has shown nothing but weakness. As RADICAL MUSLIM Terrorists invaded U.S. soil (the embassy) and killed more Americans trying to bring peace to the region, Obama didn't stay in Washington and lead like a real leader would have, he turned tail and went off to campaign for more money.

OBAMA IS A WEASEL AND A COWARD. HE SYMPATHIZES WITH RADICAL MUSLIMS AND TURNS HIS BACK ON AMERICANS. HE IS AN INEPT WIMP, MUCH LIKE JIMMY CARTER.

The terrorists see the weakness of this administration and are taking full advantage of it.

We need a real leader in the White House. It's time to vote out the limp stick Obama and his wind up monkey Biden.

Yeah, like I really give a crap what you think. The bedwetting wing of the radical left is constantly harping on Romney when it is Obama's complete spineless lack of leadership that they should be targeting.

Obama brought this on himself by trying to make nice-nice with a bunch of terrorist thugs, and this is what we get in return. The terrorists know that Obama is weak and won't do anything. They don't respect us, they mock us knowing that Obama won't do anything since he sympathizes with their cause. They know that Obama hates Isreal and that he won't back them. This is just the beginning - It's almost exactly like the scenario back when that buffoon Jimmy Carter was in office. The terroists didn't back down until a real leader was elected into office. It will be the same scenario this November when America throws Obama out of office on his can.

Ah, such vitriol Grizz

Well excuse us on the left for not sucking up to Mitt's latest foreign policy debacle.

Here's a partial list of people who would disagree with your assertion that Obama is "completely spineless", "making nice-nice with terrorists", "weak", and "won't do anything":

Osama bin Laden.
Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) leader Anwar al-Awlaki. Al Qaeda’s chief of Pakistan operations, Abu Hafs al-Shahri, was killed in Waziristan, Pakistan. ‘Atiyah' Abd al-Rahman, the deputy leader of al Qaeda. al Qaeda commander Ilyas Kashmiri, was killed in Pakistan, AQAP senior operatives Ammar al-Wa’ili, Abu Ali al-Harithi, and Ali Saleh Farhan were killed in Yemen, in Somalia, Al-Qa’ida in East Africa (AQEA) senior leader Harun Fazul was killed. Tehrik e-Taliban Pakistan leader Baitullah Mahsud was killed in Pakistan. AQEA planner Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan was killed in Somalia. Pakistani al Qaeda operational commanders Saleh al-Somali and Abdallah Sa’id were killed. Taliban deputy and military commander Abdul Ghani Beradar was captured. Haqqani network commander Muhammad Haqqani was killed. Lashkar-e Jhangvi leader Qari Zafar was killed. al Qaeda operative Hussein al-Yemeni was killed in Pakistan, al Qaeda in Iraq leaders Abu Ayyub al-Masri and Abu Omar al-Baghdadi were killed, al Qaeda’s number three commander, Sheik Saeed al-Masri was killed, in Pakistan, al Qaeda commander Hamza al-Jawfi was killed.

Your statement that Obama hates Israel and won't back them is patently false. This is an interview with Ehud Barak, Israeli Defense Minister one month ago.

Ehud Barak sings praises of Obama administration

Can you reconcile your slanderous accusations with the reality described by the Israeli Defense Minister?

Fluke? Barf

An Ivy League lawyer graduate whose starting salary averages 170K/yr and yet whines about everyone else paying for birth control instead of the person taking it is wayyyyyy out there. I don't know if I have seen a more petulant, angry and self-entitled speech in my life except from when my children were teenagers:) She's 31 and not a teenager, but the self-entitlement and me me me me me runs deep in that one.

Elizabeth Warren wasn't much better and I think even the most progressive of Dems are getting tired of her. She's pretty far behind in the polls in MASS. of all places against a REPUBLICAN in Brown and that's been consistent for months. Her shrillness and hysterics are played out.

I'm sure not saying the Repub convention was some electrifying event for that matter either. Christie and romney were rather blah, Eastwood just strange, and all sort of shown up by Rubio and the whole undercard of other speakers that were much better.

Just ready for all this BS to be over frankly.

Nuk_1, to be fair I don’t

Nuk_1, to be fair I don’t think Fluke is worried about herself but speaking on behalf of others that don’t have a voice at this level of politics.

E. Warren is behind in a state full of Democrats tells me she does not have local support. Perhaps Massachusetts Gov Deval Patrick wants the job for himself when he finishes his term or Romney’s friends at Bain Capital are buying the election for Brown. Who knows?
.
Talk about being electrified, did you catch Fmr Gov. Jennifer Granholm from Michigan? She was a dynamo feeding off the energy of the crowd.

Having the wives (spouses) speak...

...is a pointless waste of time; what do they expect them to say - 'Let me tell you about this POS I'm married to...!'? Get the Pols up there, trot out some rotting old ones, pick your man/woman, cut the conventions to 1 or 2 days and move on...

4 more years?

The libs are all talking like the past 4 years never happened, that we are not 16 TRILLION dollars in debt, that each individual now owes over $51,151.56. This administration is kicking todays problems down the road by printing mo' money, mo' money, mo' money.

The U.S. cannot afford 4 more years of irresponsible spending and fascism that the president offers.

Clinton's speech was masterful. It will be known as one of the best political speeches ever.

Momentum has shifted from nothing to an advantage to the Dems.

Clinton was securing the nomination for Hilary by helping Obama.

These men cannot stand each other. It is evident when they speak of each other and more so when you see them together. I can hear the conversation now "You help me secure the next four years and when I am ineligible to run again I will back Hilary." Of course if he does get reelected the country will be so screwed up after the next four years that no one will want to vote for any of them, of course Obama won't care because he would have gotten what he wanted.

Clinton - What a load of liberal crap

"they’ll have to cut so much spending that they’ll obliterate the budget for our national parks, for ensuring clean air, clean water, safe food, safe air travel; or they’ll cut way back on Pell Grants, college loans, early childhood education and other programs that help middle-class families and poor children, not to mention cutting investments in roads, bridges, science, technology and medical research;"

He stated this to the un-intelligent, dimwitted Americans that he knows are stupid enough to believe it. Really? So according to slick Willy, we won't be able to breath, our water will be brown, our food will be poisoned, planes will be dropping out of the sky, people will have to pay for their education, and children will starve to death.

All of this coming from a former impeached president that got caught turning the Oval office into his own litll house of ill repute and then lied directly to the American people about it. Bill Clinton is a lying scumbag. Only the hard left of the party would consider it "masterful".

What are you smoking? An old, worn out, emaciated slick Willie echoing the same old tax and spend policies that the liberals have been pushing for 40 years has not swayed one single vote.

Bring on the debates.

Romney with specifics to change the economy, Obama with the same worn out, recycled platitudes from 2008 that have not materialized.

Everything hinges on the swing states and the debates.

Romney has no specifics tonto

And that’s a problem for him that even his side is criticizing:

GOP to Mitt Romney: You’re so vague

WSJ chides Romney for too few policy details

Of course it will come down to the swing states and Obama is now ahead in all of them except North Carolina. Colorado has slipped away from Mitt. Obama got a five point convention bounce in Ohio and now leads with over 50%. He gained 4 points in New Hampshire, 4 points in Wisconsin.

The momentum has moved away from Romney in every state and time is running out.

Unlike Obama who was elected on his very specific ideas like Hope and Change.

Romney takes Ohio/Florida/Colorado/North Carolina/Virginia.
