Senator Obama joins Socialist Party.. The New Party in Chicago for Revolution
In 1996 then Senator Obama joined a group of people who had created a third party called the
"The New Party" a self described Socialist Revolutionary party and asked for their support. National Review's Stanley Kurtz wrote in 2008 that Candidate Obama
had been and still was a member of this "New Party". Kurtz was immediately attacked by the Campaign as a "Crackpot" and then Candidate Obama denied he was ever a member.
Documents recently revealed that in fact as a Senator Obama had in fact joined, participated and had received the support of this "New Party" even though the denials continued.
"In late October 2008, when I wrote here at National Review Online that Obama had been a member of the New Party, his campaign sharply denied it, calling my claim a “crackpot smear.” Fight the Smears, an official Obama-campaign website, staunchly maintained that “Barack has been a member of only one political party, the Democratic Party.” I rebutted this, but the debate was never taken up by the mainstream press." I know those of us on the Right keeps throwing the "Socialist" tag lines, but when a duck walk likes a duck, looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it is most likely
not a platypus.
Hey gang, it seems those Chicago teachers are upset and have authorized their union to strike for more pay and better benefits. I guess the fact that the school district is underwater by some $700 million means nothing. Oh, and Mayor Rahm Emanuel last year rescinded a four percent pay increase and pushed for a longer school day.
This will be most interesting to watch.
