Does November matter? You bet your sweet bippy it does...
Why? Why does it matter?
Both parties are so close to each others ideological lines that at most times it is hard to tell the difference. So why does the Election really matter?
First the Supreme Court.
If President Obama gets re-elected he will be able to appoint a new Justice. That means the makeup of the Court is going to change. A fundamental transformation
if you will. The Progressive Community has traditionally used the Courts to get what they want even against the will of the people, if they must, to move their ideology forward.
One Court case will get re-heard if this happens. The 2nd Amendment.
In 2010 the Supreme Court heard a Challenge to private ownership of guns. This landmark case established once and for all or so we thought that Americans had the right to private ownership of guns. It was a 5 to 4 vote. That means 4 Justices believed that the Constitution DOES NOT GUARANTEE the right to own guns.
So what happens if the President is re-elected and places another Progressive Justice on the Court? That vote could be flipped and you can easily lose the right to gun ownership. Won't happen? Well apparently 4 of the current Justices think it should. President Obama's view of gun ownership is well documented. Like all things Progressive incrementalism is the key. Oh they won't start an outright ban, just more regulations. Maybe banning certain Ammo or taxing that Ammo to the point that the average American would have to take out a loan just to go target practice.
Once Obama has the Court on his side he has shown he will go around or over Congress to push his "Fundamental Transformation of America".
Even Salon get's it...Confirmed: Obama authorizes assassination of U.S. citizen
Are you comfortable with the President, any President, that believes he has the right to Assassinate Americans their Administration feels is a threat? Are you?
USA Today-New presidential duty: The 'kill list'
So just how comfortable are you now?
I mean the DOJ has to look after the Special Interest after all. Turn that J around it looks like an L doesn't?
...like he did the Mexican drug cartels?? Just sayin'...
Goes to show you why public employees should not participate in collective bargaining.
Or elections, it's a conflict of interests and this is the best illustration of it.
Eric - the gun runner - Holder might send in his "thought" police to suppress ideas like this.
...'Minority Report'; he'll establish a new gov't department that'll just KNOW you're going to commit a atrocious act (like vote GOP or Libetarian)!
that there is total dissatisfaction with the current batch of politicians as they will all be swept from office. The only question is will it matter. There is a sad political and social momentum in this country, the great ship of state is in peril.
Mr. Obama was an idea, a promise of hope and change, in 2008. Today he has a record and a revealed philosophy, neither fits with the mood of the country. He has produced neither hope or the kind of change that was envisioned by millions. He is manifestly a failure of his own message.
and the voters have signaled that they desire a new path for Wisconsin to follow. Let's now see if this signal amplifies as we move toward November.
Walker wins by 6 points or so, the largest public sector union has lost 40% of its membership since compulsory dues were eliminated a year ago, teacher's union has lost 33% of its membership, and 40% of those identified as being union members voted for Walker anyway, according to exit polls. This is excellent all-around.
Walker has managed to do pretty much unthinkable in really getting a handle on public sector unions in Wisconsin that were beyond out of control and a heavy drain on taxpayer resources. Now, his next task is to get those same reforms implemented into Police/Fire unions who were exempt the first go-round.
I hope this empowers governors throughout the heavily unionized states that are in fiscal crisis that they can take on Big Public Labor and survive.
for many States.
Some of the pensions and salaries are so out of control that they are bankrupting these States, but it is not just the Unions fault it is also the Politicians that gave it to them for their vote.
He championed collective bargaining for state civil service employees in California during his first term in the 70's and now he has to deal with it in order to reconcile California's out-of-control spending. It will be interesting to see how he wiggles.
"Monitoring" is what one says they will do when they really don't have a clue what needs to be done, if anything! It gives the apperance of "doing SOMETHING" when most likely there is NOTHING that needs to be done. In other words, it's a FARCE!
how old and out of touch do you have to be to reference the phrase "you bet your sweet bippy"?
That's an oldie but a goodie from "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-in" comedy show.
Great show from back in the good-ole days when we didn't have that idiot Potus Obama trying to destroy our country.
Don't mind jpopeye... Their still smarting from the colossal butt whooping the Democrats and big labor got.
But will they monitor the polling place where members of the Black Panthers intimidated white voters using billy clubs and harrassing them?
Don't count on it.
