Ok this is going to be interesting
May take awhile to learn to navigate..
Cal said in his letter they were NOT transferred. You will need to put them in again.
There are some good ones at the theaters' in a movie by that name!
did all the other posts go? My brain is gonna have to absorb these new changes...sigh
Keeping the brain active will keep you young. :-)
Look at the very top of the page, above the Citizen logo, for archives. It will take you back to the good ol' days.
You have to go back to your account and re-set your avatar.
By the time I get this down pat, I'll be about 4 in "Citizen" years!! Haha
Your avatars -- we couldn't port them over, so (I'm sorry) you'll have to re-upload your graphics or photos for your avatars.
Let us know if you run into other problems. We are in "fix-it" and "de-bug" mode in post launch.
Most of the site works like the old site -- it's built with the latest version of Drupal (6.x) whereas the old site was in ancient 4.7. Works the same, but looks different.
Will we be able to search by blogger?
A couple of other things, the "on-line" clock is not set so we'll have to make sure to sign out. Also, if you leave this "reply" screen to say study the formatting options below and then return, your proposed comment is lost.
I guess I'll have to learn XHTML. :-) :-) :-) ☺

I don't know military time and I can't figure out how to up load my avatar.
Oh.....poop! Who moved my cheese? I don't do well with change. :)
I give up, how do I get an avatar? I can't keep looking at the little red x all the time.
Have you found the my account link at the very top of the page? Unless there is a problem (and there could be) this is the first step. After you click there you should see a page with information about your account and about 3/4 of the way down there is a place for uploading the avatar. I did my own earlier today to test it. I was concerned that my avatar did not meet the file or pixel size requirements but it worked anyway. I am going to stick around and see if this helps.
Pardon my ignorance, but where do I get my avatar from? And how do I get it into the field to enter it? The "browse" link is all messed up, something I did wrong, obviously. But if I want to get an avatar from, say, a web site and bring it here, how do I do it?
I have to use the "real" me (at her best hopefully)... so I don't know where people find avatars. If you google "where to find avatars" you'll probably find a few sites. Some may be a little shady though so beware. You can make your own by taking an image and cropping it in Paint if you have a PC. As long as your avatar is 100 pixels x 100 pixels or less it should work. If you have an image you want me to help you with email it to jbeverly@thecitizen.com. I'll work on it and send it back to you in the right size. I'm sorry our debut day hasn't been easier but you can be sure it has our full attention and will continue to do so until we're breezing along again. Our webmaster promises the Red X is going away tomorrow if you just want to wait btw.

If you find something you like you should be able to download it by clicking on it.
Here's one I like:

I hope this helps. I'm still hanging around until we get it done or give up.
Check out my kitty....this is a test, I don't know if I'll keep it...Tell me what you think...just be gentle, please! I can't believe I did it..the kitty looks like I feel right now...I'll wait for your reply, then I'm calling it a night...thank you for all your help...and here's to lots more fun for all of us in the future.
I love her! You conquered... woo hoo! Thanks so much for hanging in there with us! I think I'll turn in now too... see you soon!
Thanks Cal for making an improvement.
Takes guts to make changes these days.
We will be sure to HELP you!
Gee...now I know what Alice felt like when she figured out she was in Wonderland. :)
Things sure seem to be posting and loading slowly.
This is really slow. And I just upgraded my U-Verse to 12mb download speed. No worse than my response time though. Took me 15 min. to find "my account" to reload my avatar. Oh well, gives me something to do with my spare time. Like the topic thread feature because it was difficult to keep track of a topic and the order of responses before. Ok, now to see if I uploaded my avatar correctly....
Do you feel like the elevator operator that had trouble learning the route? The good news is, this too shall pass.
You all have done a great job on this site....Gee, there is a lot of information on here.....Guess I;m a little biased.....
I would guess that I may be one of the few here who knows that a duflochy is close kin to a thingamajiggy and a whatchamacallit--then again maybe not.
I always heard it as doflicky.
The U.S. Postal Service estimates $238 billion in losses in the next 10 years if lawmakers, postal regulators and unions don't give the mail agency more flexibility in setting delivery schedules, price increases and labor costs
Im still trying to find something the government does well, oh besides spend money that they dont have. Time to get rid of the unions and give pay and benefit cuts. The post office gets worse every year. Their attitudes are about as friendly as a pet rock. You could fire all of them and there would be hundreds of thousands willing to do the job better for half. Lets try it. We dont have much to loose anymore.
Learning how to get around. Not so hard. Thanks Joyce for the information regarding avatars!! After 4 years - I finally have one!
And I like your choice!
Just trying to get the feel of this new site. It might take a while.
It's a little different but I think we'll get the hang of it. I wonder when our avatars will show?
