Remember this?

Barack Obama: "Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket." (January 2008)

Well he wasn't kidding folks.. The EPA with the Regulatory Czar Cass SunStein is moving full speed ahead to shut down Coal fired plants.
Oh you say Obama doesn't want to do that. That's just Right Wingednuttery?

During an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle in January 2008 when he was still a Senator, Obama stated, “If somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can, it’s just that it will bankrupt them.”

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed on Tuesday new carbon dioxide emissions standards that threaten to drive up utility costs, “crush jobs,” and “destroy economic recovery,” according to National Mining Association (NMA) President and CEO Hal Quinn.

President Obama has said he is for an 'All of the above" Energy scheme.

The only problem is that Coal and Petroleum have been left off of Obama's list.

When Nudge won't work, they will just shove you. What's after shove you don't want to know.

Obama..Time to double down on Green Energy 4/12/12

Like so many others.. another Obama administration backed and taxpayer subsidized Solar Company goes Tango Uniform.

Solar Trust files for Bankruptcy protection yesterday.

During Obama's campaign tour 2012 Obama once again dragged out the old tried and true Oil Company subsidies line.

Every sourced and reasonable account has shown that there are NO SUBSIDIES given to Oil Companies. This is not disputed except by Obama and Progressive ideologues.

There are however, lots of subsidies given to Ethanol and "Green" energy companies, most whom are going bust.

So why can't Obama buy a clue?

Because he is a true believer. He believes that Socialized Medicine, energy and Government is best for us.

After-all he just wants what's best for all of us right?

EPA rewrites Clean Air Act...

In a case argued in DC District Court the Lawyers for the Obama Administration argued that Judicial overview does not apply to them. They also argued that the EPA with Cass Sunstein can without Congressional overview regulate any substance that THEY deem a threat to the Environment.

They also argued that the Administration should receive "Extreme Deference" in other words Congress should have NO oversight nor should the Judicial body have oversight over the powers of the Executive.

If this was Bush..........

OBAMA TARGETS OIL MARKETS WITH TIGHTER OVERSIGHT

http://times247.com/articles/obama-pushing-for-tighter-reins-to-oil-indu...

"Under pressure to take action on rising gasoline prices, President Obama wants Congress to strengthen federal supervision of oil markets, increase penalties for market manipulation and empower regulators to increase the amount of money energy traders are required to put behind their transactions. ..."

Yep more Government oversight and regulations are guaranteed to bring gas prices down...

Hey you Democrats out there... I have some prime bottom land in Florida I want to sell you... cheap.

Dontcha know? Bigger government is the answer to everything in Obama-land. If it doesn't work, he can just go back to blaming Bush.

EPA it's painful to end whole Coal Communities but

following this administrations policies we just have to do it...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_5PYN1jDjw&feature=player_embedded

"But know right now, we are, we are struggling. We are struggling because we are trying to do our jobs. Lisa Jackson has put forth a very powerful message to the country. Just two days ago, the decision on greenhouse gas performance standard and saying basically gas plants are the performance standard which means if you want to build a coal plant you got a big problem. That was a huge decision. You can’t imagine how tough that was. Because you got to remember if you go to West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and all those places, you have coal communities who depend on coal. And to say that we just think those communities should just go away, we can’t do that. But she had to do what the law and policy suggested. And it’s painful. It’s painful every step of the way."

The EPA

Steve, surely, you know that the EPA, a regulatory agency who can do pretty much what they want, initiate enforceable regulations without approval BY ANYONE, is one of, if not the most, dangerous and destructive pieces of Fed Govt.

AHG oh I know all right...

I have to work with them almost daily... The proposed regulations that are coming will require businesses to calculate their Carbon Footprint almost daily and pay fines or purchase credits to off-set the overage. That "footprint" has been arbitrarily set and artificially set low in order to transfer wealth to Third World Countries where the credits have to be purchased from.

If this Administration is given 4 more years we are in deep trouble.

Steve & the EPA

I remember one of the R. Candidates (maybe Gingrich) said he would turn off the lights and lock the doors in the EPA Bldg. Sounded like a plan!

Let the States manage it...

Despite what the Democrats say no one wants dirty water or polluted air.

We don't need a Governmental leviathan like the EPA pushing their considerable weight around.
