The former Popeye's in PTC
Does anyone know what is going in at the former Popeye's in PTC?
Is Java Tropico gone now?
Yeah - Johnny's - yum
has built a really nice outdoor dining deck on the front of their building where it will be in the shade of the pine trees. Should be really nice outdoor dining. Yes!
If you ever met that guy you would know why. Control freak with no customer skills.
New Crosstown Rd. store opening May 2nd-one on Hwy 54 closing tomorrow.
Jimmy Johns food ok, atmosphere zero, staff zero, mgt. zero-parking stinks-give 'em 1year & gone.
Since most of their business is delivery, I was surprised to see them locate there but they may have received a good deal on rent.
tried it out. Had never been to the one on 54. Pizza was very, very good. Thin crust pizza, if you like it. Try the garlic knots as an appetizer-they are awesome.
The patio is exactly what is needed in this city for dining. In the shade, covered roof over it, ceiling fans, and directv to watch games if you choose to. The wrought iron chairs could use cushions, but other than that, I see a great future. The owner is a local, lives in Braelinn Village, and I wish him every success and hope others will come to this shopping center and enjoy a meal. With Dickies BBQ and TCBY, it's nice to have a few choices again.

Do you know if they allow dogs on the patio?
Sorry, but you're barking up the wrong tree on the doggies. I don't know but I sure hope not. I would think it is a health dept violation. At the very least it is a customer violation. We have 2 dog parks, 90 miles of trails and banks that hand out treats at the drive up. Can you get by with just that for bowser? :)
Totally agree. Braelinn is coming back around again and this helps. Johnny's is NY style and I really like that better than Chicago or other varieties, so WIN!
Dickie's is good too. Not the cheapest BBQ you'll ever find, but good.
It's going to be a Johnny's New York Style Pizza.
Also, a new Jimmy John's sandwich shop is going in the opposite end of the building where Tropical Java was on Hwy 54 West. They open on Wednesday, 3/21/12.
