Cyclist - Social Security

Obama is taking money away from the failed ponzi scheme of Social Security system that Eisenhower touted. He's having people pay less money into an already bankrupt system.

Of course, for those that are intelligent, they are taking the whopping $40/month from the payroll tax cut and investing it in their 401K or IRA.
It's partial privitization of SS, something the GW Bush tried to get passed without luck because of the democrats (The party of "NO")

SLindsey, when gas gets to $4-5 dollars a gallon,

it will be because the oil companies are exporting gasoline to keep prices high in the US. Since you are a shill for the oil companies, I’ll blame you as well.

If you don’t like the “Remember Bush” slogan, pick another, I gave you several to choose from.

is truly amazing what you believe. Do you get most of your ideas from Atlantic Monthly, NY Times, CNN and such?

Just curious.

Cancelled my subscription, PTCO...

...during the Bush administration because it became such a far left, consistent Bush-bashing rag - had subscribed for years prior. They're just about back to level now with good, balanced, insightful articles now, except for the occasional Obama panderers...

PTC_0, none of the above

but at your suggestion I tried out the Atlantic Monthly. Follow the link and select the Pickin’ and Trimmin’ video, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

Excellent magazine, thanks for the tip.

Ninja, Joe will probably do what you are doing--overdose on

collards. We are really suffering from collard overload lately. Isn't there anything else coming out of the garden these days? How about some rutabaga or kale, anything for a change.

MYTTRITE, You Are Right!

The collard theme seems to have run its course. I've been trying to get the Flo Rida theme going, but it hasn't gain any traction despite him being the Mozart of the current generation!

I think Flo Rida said it best when he said:

the hood never caused but they all was hard
his kind never represented love at all
purple hearts in the hood, them ghetto scars
where every time i see my daddy it was just a mirage

Ninja, you may be on to something. All the candidates are turn-

ing to celebs to hype their sales pitch. How about "If you wanna go with the Flo, you gotta Ride(a) with me." ? Now who would use that one? Romney, Gingrich -nah, he probably said that long time ago to his mistresses. Or maybe it should be "If you wanna Ride(a) with me, you gotta go with the Flo." ?

Don't bother thanking me, anything to get you off those collards--

For a tasty change, recommend a visit to "Beirut" in PTC, If you've never had Lebanese food, try the Mezza Platter; it's sorta like a sampler!

While it was all good, we particularly liked the Falafel and Kibbi. Svc is also excellent and prices not out of sight.

Beirut and Falafels

I never went to Beirut, but I met an Israeli guy that fought there back in the 80s! Did not sound fun! I fell in love with Falafels while living in Europe! Never have found any good ones in Jahjuh, so thanks for the tip on the eatery. I will make one of my progeny join me on a visit there!

Only there once and only at the airport. Know it was once a choice assignment for many Govt folks. Was leader of a 5-person team that had done a special job in Thailand for 3 wks and enroute back to Wash.DC. Bought a bottle of Scotch in the terminal and (rightly or wrongly) we consumed it in transit.
