Missing PTC teen located, now back with her parents

UPDATE: Dec. 31 at 11:30 a.m. - The juvenile was located and turned over to her parents.

Original story - Peachtree City police are looking for a 15-year-old missing juvenile, Emily Nicole Krenitski.

Emily Nicole is 15 years of age, 5'5", 140 pounds, pink hair to middle of her back and hazel eyes. She was last scene wearing a pink sweat shirt under Armour, blue jeans in the area of Center Green, Braelinn Village, Taco Bell.

Fayette academic bowl teams sweep the county

Seven high school teams headed to State Feb. 7

With one exception, every winning high school varsity and junior varsity team of the 2014 Regional Academic Bowl is from Fayette County.

Fayette’s high school varsity teams swept their division, taking all but first place.

Fayette County High School took second place, followed by Starr’s Mill High School in third and Whitewater High School in fourth, rounding out the top varsity winners.

Local chess club starts own tourney

The Inman Elementary Chess Club will start its own tournament in February.

The inaugural tournament is motivated by the club’s desire to give their growing membership and the community an additional venue for friendly competitions.

The club is one year old and has 89 members in grades 3-5. It currently competes in tournaments held in Clayton and Coweta counties. Read More»

Brooks man charged with molestation

A Brooks man has been charged with the molestation of two female victims. Investigators also found a large volume of child pornography on his home computer for which charges are pending.

Thomas J. Brandlehner, 57, of 135 Elsberry Lane east of Brooks, was charged with one count of aggravated sexual battery, one count of sexual battery, two counts of child molestation and two counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes, according to Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb. Read More»

A Tyrone woman has been charged with 116 counts of financial identity fraud after selling the personal information of members of Georgia National Guard unit where she was employed.
