Office building dedicated

Friends and family gathered together last Saturday to officially dedicate Senoia’s newest office building. The historic-looking building was christened the Addy Building after longtime Senoia businessman Ellis Crook’s mother, Leola Mae Addy. Greg Crook, who now manages his father’s businesses, said the honor was fitting for a woman who did not have many material possessions, but dearly loved her family. The office building is located on Ga. Highway 16, next to Crook’s Tire Pro, and currently houses the office of Crescent South Insurance. Read More»

Fines for false alarms in PTC?

Officers spend equivalent of 4 hours a day answering burglary alarms; only 3 in a year turned out to be real

Peachtree City may soon be considering an ordinance aimed at reducing the amount of false burglar alarm calls.

Argument leads to arrest at Marnelle

An altercation March 11 at Marnelle Mobile Home Park on Ga. Highway 54 resulted in charges of aggravated assault, interference with a 911 call and criminal trespass for 32-year-old Daniel Keith Stephens.

The incident occurred at approximately 11 p.m. as a domestic situation between Stephens and two other persons, said Fayette Sheriff’s spokesperson Brent Rowan. Stephens resided with the pair, he added. Read More»
