Peachtree City Elementary raises over $1,450 with Pennies for Patients

Peachtree City Elementary students and staff collected a total of $1,458.48 during a Pennies for Patients campaign held the first two weeks of March. The money collected goes to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and supports their relentless pursuit of cures for leukemia, lymphoma and meyloma. The two classes raising the most were Krista Hiley’s 4th grade, pictured receiving a silver pennant and Betty Stricklen’s 1st grade, pictured receiving a bronze pennant. Read More»

The setting March 27 could not have been more perfect for the Bear Creek Hounds Point-to-Point Races held at Bear Creek Farm south of Moreland. A total of 83 horses ran in the multiple races held on the rolling terrain.

A centuries-old tradition came alive amid the rolling hills of Bear Creek Farm near Moreland recently. And in the second running of the Bear Creek Hounds Point-to-Point Races it is likely that a new tradition had emerged.
