Motorcyle benefit raised money for injured officer

'Heart and Soul Tour' to visit Senoia, Apr. 14

The Senoia Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is seeking people to welcome participants in the Georgia Cities 2010 Heart and Tour to the city on Apr. 14. The tour bus will arrive on Seavy Street at the Redneck Gourmet at 10 a.m. and will depart an hour later.

DDA representatives will welcome the group of 45 and lead them on a tour of downtown to learn about the history, infill development and rehabilitated buildings in downtown historic Senoia.

'History with Elizabeth' at the Carnegie, Apr. 14 

Come to The Carnegie for an intimate discussion with local historian Elizabeth Beers to learn more about Newnan and its history. On Apr. 14 at 10 a.m. Ms. Elizabeth will be ‘Bragging on Newnan.’

Ethica purchases Newnan Nursing & Rehab Center

Newnan Hospital, Inc. announced Apr. 2 that the Newnan Hospital Nursing & Rehabilitation Center has been sold to Macon-based Ethica Health & Retirement Communities.

Newnan Hospital Inc. has operated the 143-bed nursing home, located at 244 Broad St. in Newnan, since purchasing it in 1994 when it was Beaulieu Convalescent Center. When Piedmont Healthcare bought Newnan Hospital in 2007, Newnan Hospital Inc. retained the nursing home because Piedmont did not operate nursing homes. Read More»
