Bike riding tour of Senoia coming June 5

The Senoia Area Historical Society is sponsoring a bike riding tour of Senoia on Saturday, June 5, starting at 9:30 a.m. The tour, for riders of all abilities, is a fund raiser for the society. Proceeds will be used to preserve and display artifacts for the museum. This is a great ride for people interested in the history of the area, interesting architecture, tales of residents past and present, or who just want some fun on a Saturday morning. Read More»

The Optimist Club of Senoia hosted its annual youth appreciation banquet on May 6 in recognition of students at East Coweta High School and Northgate High School.  Senoia Optimist member Laura Bell was the chair of the event which was held at the Senior Citizens’ Center in Senoia.

Delicate china, linen fans and hoop skirts were just a few of the items to be seen at Girl Scout Troop 19179’s Victorian Day on Sunday afternoon, April 25, at Cokes Chapel UMC. To many adults it is a relatively harmless form of acting out on the part of young children and teenagers that is rooted in a real or perceived difference or in some form of dislike or even jealousy. But to those subjected to the many forms of bullying, it is a verbal or physical display that can have lasting effects.
