The 2010 Census county by county population tally for Georgia is scheduled to be released this week. Though they might differ from the actual numbers, the July 2010 estimated population figures showed that Fayette County’s population grew 18.8 percent over 2000, while Coweta County showed a 31 percent increase and Clayton County grew by 17 percent.
The figures generated by the U.S. Census Bureau are stated as estimates. Those figures showed that the Fayette population increased from 91,263 in 2000 to an estimated 108,431 in 2010, a difference of 17,168, or 18.8 percent. Read More»
