Burning BMW found Dec.29

Fayette County Sheriff’s investigators are attempting to determine the circumstances surrounding a BMW found engulfed in flames along Padgett Road on Dec. 29. No one was at the scene when deputies arrived.

Sheriff Barry Babb said a report came in on Dec. 29 at approximately 10:50 p.m. of a car burning in the 500 block of Padgett Road in southwest Fayette County.

Babb said deputies found a white 2013 BMW fully engulfed in flames and unoccupied. There was also no one at the scene on the incident, Babb added. Read More»

A private security guard at the Bank of America branch in Fayetteville on Ga. Highway 314 was transported for medical care after accidentally shooting herself in the leg Jan. 2 while inspecting a coworker’s firearm in the bank’s break room.

Fayetteville Det. Mike Whitlow said a call of a person shot came into 911 at approximately 12:30p.m. Friday. Officers responded, finding that the supervisor of the security guard on duty at the bank had accidentally shot herself while inspecting her subordinate’s handgun, Whitlow said. Read More»

Missing PTC teen located, now back with her parents

Original story - Peachtree City police are looking for a 15-year-old missing juvenile, Emily Nicole Krenitski.

Emily Nicole is 15 years of age, 5'5", 140 pounds, pink hair to middle of her back and hazel eyes. She was last scene wearing a pink sweat shirt under Armour, blue jeans in the area of Center Green, Braelinn Village, Taco Bell.

PTC house fire causes minor damage and no injuries

A mid-afternoon house fire in Peachtree City on Dec. 23 resulted in no injuries and resulted in damage mainly in the area of the chimney.

Peachtree City Fire and Rescue spokesman John Dunlap said the call came in at approximately 3:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and was made by the residents who observed smoke in the home at 102 Harris Halt off Doubletrace Lane.

Dunlap said engines responded within five minutes. Firefighters had extinguished the flames within approximately 20 minutes, he said, adding that the fire that was confined mainly to the chimney area.
