Police on lookout for Kedron flasher

Police want to locate this man who is believed to have flashed a woman in the parking lot of the Kedron Village Kroger recently. Anyone with information on the incident or identity of the suspect is asked to call Peachtree City police at 770-487-8866.

Peachtree City police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a black male who flashed a woman in the parking lot of the Kedron Village Kroger recently.

The suspect, whose face is not clearly seen on video surveillance footage from inside the store, was wearing a T-shirt with the letters “RMA” on the back. Police believe he may be driving a black passenger vehicle.

Anyone with information on the incident or identity of the suspect is asked to call Peachtree City police at 770-487-8866.

A young Fayetteville man remained in jail Tuesday, accused of fleeing the scene of a suspected DUI crash that seriously injured two passengers in his vehicle June 22.

Hunter Ross Cooper, 18, of Fayetteville faces multiple charges for fleeing the Buckeye Road crash scene on foot and his grandmother, George Ann Brown, 69, of Fayetteville is accused of abetting his getaway by picking him up following the crash. Read More»

Senoia nabs identity thief

Senoia police investigators responding to an incident involving debit card information stolen from a Senoia victim arrested a Stone Mountain man who admitted using stolen information from multiple victims to open debit and credit card accounts.

Kwame Gordon, 34, was charged on June 17 with one count of identity theft, said Senoia Inv. Jason Ercole, adding that additional charges and arrests are expected. Read More»

PTC police seek driver who fled traffic stop

Peachtree City police are asking the public to help locate a man who ran from police on a traffic stop late Wednesday afternoon. The suspect was identified as Tony Long, 5’9”, weighing 140 pounds and wearing khaki shorts and a gray shirt. Long was last spotted running into the Shiloh Mobile Home Park behind the Peachtree East Shopping Center.

Peachtree City police are asking the public to help locate a man who ran from police on a traffic stop late Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect was identified as Tony Long, 5’9”, weighing 140 pounds and wearing khaki shorts and a gray shirt. Long was last spotted running into the Shiloh Mobile Home Park behind the Peachtree East Shopping Center.

Long is wanted by several jurisdictions which have lodged criminal charges against him, police said.

Anyone with information on Long’s whereabouts is asked to contact police by calling 911.

Deputies catch driver who fled crash, grandma who picked him up

Hunter Ross Cooper, 19, of 201 Mitchell Road, Fayetteville was arrested today (Wednesday, June 25) and charged with a litany of offenses including obstruction of a law enforcement officer, two felony counts of causing serious injury by vehicle, DUI, endangering a child while DUI, hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident, driving with a revoked or suspended license and other traffic offenses along with one charge of violating probation, according to jail documents.

Senoia fugitive nabbed in multi-county effort

‘Check out my YouTube Page’ – cops did, found online pics of 33 marijuana plants in man's house

A Peachtree City man was arrested on felony marijuana charges June 13 after he invited an officer to “check out his YouTube channel” which showed a marijuana-growing operation at his residence that contained 33 marijuana plants.

Zachary A. Peak, 29, of Paddock Trail in Glenloch Village, was charged with manufacturing, distribution and possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects and indecent exposure, according to police and jail records. Read More»

3 arrested in Fayette chase

A June 13 car chase along Ga. Highway 54 in Fayetteville and into central Fayette County followed by a chase on foot by sheriff’s deputies and Tyrone officers led to the arrest of three men on multiple charges.

Sheriff Barry Babb said deputies on June 13 conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 54 in Fayetteville near Sharon Drive. He said the driver of the vehicle pulled into the parking lot of the AutoZone store then fled from the officer by quickly returning to Hwy. 54 and running the light at Gingercake Road.
