Former Pike school chief back in jail for porn

A former Zebulon man has been arrested for violating the conditions of his probation for attempting to arrange a sexual encounter with an undercover Peachtree City police officer whom he thought was 15 years old.

F’ville police charge woman with false rape claim

A South Carolina woman was charged by Fayetteville Police with making false statements in a Sept. 10 incident that occurred at the home of her boyfriend in Fayetteville. The woman told officers her boyfriend had raped her but was later arrested for making false statements during an interview with female detectives.

Fayetteville Police spokesman Steve Crawshaw said 40-year-old Angella Caprice Miller, of Hopkins, S.C., was charged with making false statements and writings after an incident that police reports said involved her boyfriend, a Fayetteville resident. Read More»

Police are asking the public’s help in stopping a rash of burglaries at apartment and condominium complexes in north Peachtree City.

The incidents have occurred at the Camden Apartments, both Retreat apartments (on Barberry Lane and Hyacinth Lane) and also at Georgian Park Condominiums.

Local man charged with bilking universities

A Fayetteville man has been charged with bilking about $400,000 from various colleges and universities who were counting on his company for overseas travel arrangements for their sports teams, U.S. prosecutors said.

Dale Brannan, 65, is charged with bank fraud, mail fraud, bankruptcy fraud and one count of making a false declaration in a bankruptcy filing, officials said. He was indicted by a federal grand jury Sept. 13, and faces up to 50 years in prison and fines up to $500,000. Read More»
