Jeremy D. Jones, 26, of Lori Lane, Riverdale, for bench warrant.

Matthew J. Parker, 30, of Pharr Court, Atlanta, for no drivers license, expired/no tag/decal and no proof of insurance.

Youth football coach arrested for assaulting PTC parent

Brooks Bears youth football assistant coach and Pike County resident Jack Neace was arrested Nov. 17 on charges of aggravated battery after the weekend assault on a parent of a Peachtree City player in the parking lot of Whitewater High School after the game had ended.

Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Josh Shelton said Neace, 41, was arrested Thursday on charges of battery and aggravated battery. Read More»

Luthersville man faces federal charges

A Luthersville man has been indicted on federal fraud charges after obtaining federal contracts reserved for service-disabled veterans. Sixty-two-year-old Arthur Wayne Singleton was arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Judge Russell G. Vineyard in the Nov. 10 proceeding in connection to 14 counts of wire fraud and one count of major fraud against the United States. Read More»

Peachtree City man arrested for possession of child porn

Peachtree City resident David Gordon Moll, 56, of Rockspray Ridge, was charged Tuesday with one count of sexual exploitation of children after law enforcement agents found kiddie porn on his computer, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Moll turned himself in to the Fayette County Jail the same day, the GBI said.

PTC cops looking for man trying to pick up kids

Peachtree City Police are asking for the community’s help in locating a person of interest in connection with a man that reportedly asked two juveniles to get in his vehicle.

Department spokesman Mark Brown said that on Nov. 10 two juveniles reported that they were waiting at the bus stop at the intersection of Wynnmeade Parkway and Tower Road when a person stopped at the stop sign next to them and asked them to “get in the car.”

Brown said the juveniles ignored the person’s request but added that the following day the same person stopped at the same stop sign. Read More»

PTC woman charged in fraud case

Peachtree City resident Kimberly Consolino was arrested Nov. 9 in connection with a financial transaction card fraud investigation conducted by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s spokesman Brent Rowan said investigators made an arrest on Nov. 9 in connection with a financial transaction card fraud case which occurred Oct. 6-9. Investigators have arrested Kimberly Consolino, 39, of Cloister Drive in Peachtree City and charged her with two counts of financial transaction card fraud, Rowan said. Read More»

Beer burglar blasts BP gas station, steals 2 cases

A burglar with a taste for beer fired a shotgun blast through the plate glass window of a BP gas station east of Fayetteville Tuesday morning and walked off with two cases of beer, brand undisclosed, Fayette County Sheriff’s Investigator Brent Rowan said.

Deputies have video and are looking for a “slightly overweight white male” wearing dark clothing.

The store at Corinth Road and Ga. Highway 54 East was closed, and no one was in the building when the beer burglar struck.

F'ville boy, 13, arrested for threatening mom with knife

A 13-year-old Fayetteville boy was arrested Wednesday night after he threatened his mother and sister with a knife at a home in the Heritage Lake subdivision, police said.

The incident happened shortly before 7 p.m. during an altercation between the youth and his mother, who had told him he could not go out with his brother because his grades had been bad and he had been getting in trouble, police said. Read More»
