A Senoia man was arrested today on several charges stemming from the investigation of a suspicious man interacting with students at several Peachtree City school bus stops, police said. Damien Lee Yerger, 24, of Autumn Creek Drive, Senoia was charged with two felony counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes and three misdemeanor counts of loitering/prowling, police said. 3 arrested in 2nd Walmart debit fraud attempt

Police have arrested three Nigerian residents for attempting to fraudulently withdraw large sums of money using prepaid debit cards at the Peachtree City Walmart.

This is the second time that such a scam has been detected at the Walmart in eight days. The suspects were arrested Oct. 28 after Walmart loss prevention officers determined the transaction was fraudulent, police said.

Sheriff: Suspect sold 26 stolen cars for crushing

An Atlanta man has been arrested for selling 26 stolen vehicles to two local auto parts stores, sheriff’s investigators said. Christopher Davis, 53, of Atlanta would sell the vehicles, which were then crushed to recover as recyclable metals, officials said. Read More»

Local man arrested for child molestation

A Fayetteville man has been arrested for multiple counts of child molestation in connection with an investigation launched by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

Nathan Donald Moore, 24, is accused of having sexual contact with a juvenile at a residence in south Fayette County on at least six different occasions, according to sheriff’s investigators. Read More»

PTC cops on look-out for suspicious man at bus stop

Police: suspect invited juveniles to sit in his car

Police are asking Peachtree City residents to watch out for a suspicious person at a bus stop at an apartment complex Thursday and Friday.

The driver of a gray Honda Pilot reportedly asked two juveniles at Balmoral Village if they would like to sit in his car, also remarking that they were pretty and it was cold, police said.

The male left the area on both occasions after the juveniles left the area or declined his offer, police said. The juveniles told police they had seen the male before at the bus stop and he possibly picks up or drops off another child there. Read More»

Senoia cop nabs man in child exploitation case

A McDonough man on Oct. 24 entered a guilty plea in Coweta County Superior Court on charges of computer pornography and child exploitation related to an undercover operation conducted by the Senoia Police Department.

The guilty plea entered by Marc B. Babischkin, 47, followed a September indictment by the Coweta County Grand Jury on charges of computer pornography, child exploitation and obscene Internet contact with a child, according to Senoia Police Investigator Alicia Batts.

Suspect picks cop’s car to break into at hospital

A Hampton man was arrested Oct. 19 on entering auto and other charges after an off-duty Atlanta police officer found him inside the officer’s private vehicle as he exited Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

Darius Jackson, 22, was charged with entering auto, possession of burglary tools and obstruction in the Oct. 19 incident, according to Det. Mike Whitlow.

Whitlow said the incident occurred as an off-duty Atlanta police officer and his wife left Piedmont Fayette Hospital and approached their personal vehicle. As the couple got closer to the vehicle the officer saw Jackson sitting inside. Read More»

Former Fayetteville resident Sohel Lilywala was sentenced Oct. 21 to nearly seven years in federal prison after pleading guilty to a variety of charges such as being an alien in possession of a firearm, drug possession, making a false claim of U.S. citizenship and aggravated identity theft.
