Woman wounded Monday night in N. Fayette drive-by shooting

A woman driving with her granddaughter was wounded late Monday by a gunshot fired from a passing car just north of Fayetteville on Ga. Highway 85, Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb said.

The wounded woman drove to a gas station just across the Clayton County line and called police. Another report said the woman was struck in her hand.

PTC cops seeking armed robber

A July 27 armed robbery and assault of two people at their Peachtree City residence is thought to be linked to their place of business at a restaurant in Union City. Police are asking for the community’s help in locating the suspect.

Police spokesman Mark Brown said officers in the early morning hours of July 27 responded to a residence on Abrell Woods Court in reference to a reported armed robbery. Read More»

Senoia arrests man, 18, for child molestation

An 18-year-old Senoia man faces child molestation charges for actions committed in 2010 and 2011 when he was a juvenile.

The man was charged with two counts of child molestation, according to Senoia Det. Jason Ercole, adding that the man’s name is not being released because the crime was committed while he was a juvenile.

Ercole said the man was arrested on July 9 after an investigation conducted by the Senoia Police Dept. that spanned a five-month period. Read More»

A Fairburn woman was charged with reckless conduct July 9 after leaving her 5-year-old son in a car at the Publix grocery store in Tyrone. The child was found by a patron and was hot but unharmed.

Union City man arrested after stalking wife in PTC

A Union City man was arrested July 8 on numerous charges after stalking his wife and leading officers in Peachtree City and Tyrone on a chase.

Christopher Sinclair, 31, was charged with stalking, loitering, reckless driving, driving while suspended, child safety seat violations and obstruction, according to Peachtree City police spokesman Mark Brown. Read More»
