Man, 19, charged with molesting girl, 15, beginning when she was 12

A report to a Fayette County School Resource Officer in early October led to the arrest Oct. 26 of a Jonesboro man on charges of aggravated child molestation.

Coweta pot bust yields money, weapons

An Oct. 12 bust in Newnan yielded approximately eight pounds of marijuana, nearly $20,000 in cash and a number of weapons.

Newnan residents Christopher Smith, 22, and Brittney-Lee Orourke, 19, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, according to Coweta County Jail records. Read More»

Suspect who touched off Oct. 11 manhunt arrested Tuesday in Cobb County

A Hampton man was arrested late Tuesday afternoon in Cobb County on charges stemming from the attempted shooting of a Fayette County sheriff's deputy who had pulled him over in north Fayette County Oct. 11, officials said.

Keith Sinclair Lake, 22, was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, and because that part of the incident happened just across the county line he will be prosecuted in Clayton County. Read More»

PTC cops seek missing juvenile

Peachtree City Police are seeking the public's help in locating a juvenile who has been missing for more than 24 hours.

Kyle Kerswill, who is 5'11" and approximately 160 pounds, was last seen in his bedroom at Azalea Drive, police said.

Kerswill was first reported missing Thursday morning at 5:56 a.m. Police have not released any further details about the incident.

Anyone with information on Kerswill's location is asked to cal police at 770-631-2510 or 770-487-6010. Callers may remain anonymous.
