Traffic stop nets small amount of cocaine

The failure by an Atlanta man May 6 to stop at a stop sign at White Road and Heritage Lake Drive resulted in drug charges for three grams of cocaine and less than an ounce of marijuana.

Justin J. Shealy, 20, was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute for the three grams of suspected cocaine in two small bags found in his center console, said Fayetteville Police spokesperson Steve Crawshaw. Man arrested for pointing gun at PTC Taco Bell

A “very minor” dispute outside the Peachtree City Taco Bell Saturday afternoon escalated to the point where a Locust Grove man pulled an air pellet type handgun and pointed it at four people, police said.

Jermal Thomas, 17, of Kings Cove, Locust Grove, was arrested for four counts of aggravated assault, police said.

The Airsoft-type gun is designed to shoot plastic pellets, not bullets, but the charges were necessary because Thomas portrayed it to be a real handgun and pointed it in an offensive nature, police said. Read More»

Man arrested for dumping 200-300 scrap tires in Tyrone

A John’s Creek man was arrested on felony charges Wednesday in connection with the illegal dumping of 200-300 scrap tires on property in Tyrone.

Charles Ejemba, 44, of John’s Creek, was arrested at his home by John’s Creek Police on felony charges of unlawful dumping for commercial purposes and was transported to the Fayette County Jail, said Tyrone Police Chief Brandon Perkins. Read More»

PTC teenager charged with damaging vehicles

A 15 year-old Peachtree City resident has been charged with damaging nine vehicles in the Peachtree Station Circle Apartment complex.

During the overnight hours on April 12 the police department received several complaints of tires being punctured, according to Capt. Stan Pye. A total of nine cars were damaged in the incident, Pye said. Read More»
