“See you at the movies,” soon will have new meaning for Peachtree City and eastern Coweta County moviegoers.

The NCG Peachtree City Cinemas is expected to open in mid-January at the new Fischer Crossing commercial development in east Coweta County at Fischer Road and Ga. highways 34 and 54, one-half mile west of Peachtree City.

F’ville Council eases sign rules to help merchants during holidays

The Fayetteville City Council at the Nov. 18 meeting gave local businesses a better shot at increased sales during the holiday shopping season.

The council unanimously approved a resolution allowing businesses to display two additional display banners during the holiday season along with the two banners per year they are currently permitted under the sign ordinance. Read More»

Local businesses help our troops with Operation Sandbox Georgia

Boxes are filling and funds are rolling in as “Operation Sandbox,” in Georgia, for the sixth consecutive year, collects donations and goods and assembles care packages that will be shipped to deployed troops.

Monetary contributions (checks or cash) or donated items will be accepted at local businesses in Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Newnan and Fairburn through Nov. 30.

Prudential merges with Home Source, ending real estate era

It’s the end of a real estate era in Peachtree City and Fayette County.

The Home Source Realtors, which has long been the home sales arm of Pathway Communities, the developer of Peachtree City, is merging with Prudential Georgia Realty, both companies announced late Tuesday.

Prudential — the successor company — is the top agency for transactions, buyers and listings in metro Atlanta, north Georgia, the Southern Crescent and west Georgia, said company President and CEO Dan Forsman. Read More»

Kaiser Permanente medical micro-clinic planned for F’ville’s Banks Station

Healthcare provider Kaiser Permanente has submitted initial plans to open a medical micro-clinic in Fayetteville. Preliminary information supplied by the city’s Planning and Zoning department indicates that the company intends to occupy the 6,420-square-foot building along Ga. Highway 85 at 101 Banks Station. The Southern Living Magazine 2010 Idea House opened in Senoia on June 12. Since that time more than 20,000 people have toured the unique four-story, 5,000 square-foot brownstone. And the tide of people visiting the city during the past five months have made a significant impact on Senoia’s businesses.
