International festival seeks vendors

The Peachtree City Convention and Visitors Bureau is seeking artisans, performers and food and craft vendors with an international flair. The 2010 International Festival and Rotary Dragon Boat Races will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Drake Field.

Those attending will enjoy a taste of culture, food and art from around the world. The festival is a vision that is coming to life again this year.  The objective is to raise the awareness of our cultural diversity and increase interest in international commerce though the interaction of the community, business, and the arts. Big Band sounds at Southside Theatre

Former Palmetto resident and Campbell High School (of Fairburn) graduate, Robert Ray will appear in concert at the Southside Theatre Guild in Fairburn for two nights only - Aug. 20 and 21.

Ray is a four-time NYC Cabaret nominee and in Atlanta he has produced and directed the “75th Anniversary of the Fox Theatre” along with special concerts for Underground’s Peach Drop, WSB’s Christmas Parade and Lenox Square’s 4th of July Celebrations. Read More»

PTC cyclist tackled The Rockies

People in Fayette County have heard numerous tales involving superhuman displays of physical endurance before. Running is all well and good but it helps to have a destination.

Once I started my running regimen with the Couch to 5K app, I knew I wanted to have a 5K race to enter at the end of it. Luckily, there was the All-American 5K in Peachtree City coming up close to the end of the program. I knew that I would be ready and wouldn’t embarrass myself in the race. Auditions for PTC Civic Ballet's 'The Nutcracker'

The Newnan Community Theatre Company’s next production in their 2010 Season is the classic drama “The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Paul Zindel.
