Christmas with the Southern Crescent Chorale has become the official beginning of the holiday season for many in our community.

Fayetteville Main Street officially marks the beginning of the Main Street Holiday Season with the Downtown Christmas Parade and the annual Tree Lighting festivities Saturday, Dec. 1.

The public is invited to gather downtown for this annual celebration that includes music, food, and free carriage rides with Santa.

The parade starts at 5 p.m. and will roll up Ga. Highway 85 through the downtown square. Across the street at the Gazebo, the Southern Komfort food truck will be serving food/drinks for the spectators before, during and after the parade. Read More»

Get a glimpse of WW II’s ‘Memphis Belle’ at Falcon Field

The “Memphis Belle,” a WWII-era B-17 heavy bomber will be at Falcon Field through Monday, Nov. 26. This is the aircraft they used in the movie “Memphis Belle.” “Although they will not be doing rides (they are doing testing with the FAA), it is a really neat and historic aircraft to come out and see,” said Mike Melton, an official at Atlanta Regional Airport — Falcon Field in Peachtree City. “The aircraft will be flying a good bit over the next couple of days but will be parking here on the ramp during their breaks.
