Bryan Adams to play 'The Fred' in August

The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphotheater will play host to one of the world’s most highly acclaimed musicians on Friday, Aug. 5. Bryan Adams The Bare Bones Tour is the sixth concert in the BMW of South Atlanta summer concert series, with the other five announced in early February. The previous five concerts include Kenny G Heart and Soul Tour, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Jo Dee Messina with special guest Jimmy Wayne, Kool and the Gang and 10,000 Maniacs with Edwin McCain. Fayette County students showcase their talent

According to Joe Frazar, Chairman of the 26th Annual Art and Music Showcase sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City, the talent exhibited this year by Fayette County students is “the best ever in the history of our competition.”

The 140 art entries have already been judged by local artists and the music auditions have been held.  On Monday, Mar. 21 at 7 p.m. at The Bridge Community Center at 225 Willowbend Road the music finalists will compete for over $4000 in prizes. I recently saw a new film with a quite self-explanatory name: “Beastly.” The actors are fine and the source material (the story of “Beauty and the Beast”) is solid, but the film itself is too unbelievable.
